SEIKO 69's 56KING SEIKO SUPERIOR / Ref.5625-7030
SEIKO 69's 56KING SEIKO SUPERIOR / Ref.5625-7030
Introducing the Seiko SUPERIOR KING SEIKO , manufactured in 1969 .
Seiko began in 1877 when its founder, Kintaro Hattori, established the Hattori Watch Repair Shop.
Initially, he sold and repaired used watches, while also working as a repairman at other watch shops, striving to improve his skills, and four years later, in 1881 , he founded the "Hattori Watch Shop."
Initially, the company focused on selling and repairing imported watches, but in 1892 , in order to utilize the technology it had cultivated up until then, it established a watch manufacturing division called Seikosha.
Seiko began by manufacturing wall clocks and went on to successfully develop the first domestically produced pocket watches and wristwatches, building the foundations of Japan's watch industry.
Now, the company has earned the title of "Seiko of the World."
SUPERIOR means "luxury" or "high quality."
The " 56 King Seiko Superior" we are introducing this time is a rare model that is the first domestically produced automatic watch to be officially certified as a chronometer.
Therefore, the words " CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED " are inscribed at the 12 o'clock position.
Furthermore, there are very few pieces with a black dial, making this a rare piece.
The dial is a glossy black dial.
The black dial and the clear visibility of the glass crystal go well together, highlighting the beauty of the light reflection.
The hands and indexes are bar hands with black in the center and trapezoidally cut upright bar indexes.
The dial, unified in black and silver, exudes elegance.
The case is a one-piece case that is durable, thin, and waterproof.
Since there is no back cover, it has airtightness that surpasses that of a screw-back case.
While maintaining a solid volume, the use of gentle curves gives the case a unique design that is both strong and soft.
This King Seiko is worthy of the name "Superior" in both its functionality and design.
The movement is an automatic model.
It is officially certified as a chronometer, so you can be sure of its precision.
It is equipped with a calendar function, and you can fast-forward the date by operating the crown.
Furthermore, it is equipped with a hacking function, making it a very practical movement.
Size: Height: 43.3mm , Width: 38mm , Thickness: 10.2mm . Weight: 83g .
Although the case size is voluminous, it is thin and therefore fits comfortably when worn.
The elegant case design goes well with formal attire such as suits and jackets, but it can also be paired with more casual outfits such as shirts and polo shirts.
The condition of the case is good with the edges still intact.
The plating on the medallion on the back cover has peeled off, but there is no corrosion or chipping.
The dial remains in beautiful condition, just like it was back then.
The movement is working fine and all functions operate smoothly.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul it (hereinafter referred to as OH) and deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)
A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul we performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.
When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will properly repair the product, but there will be a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
