CITIZEN 70's SEVEN STAR V2 / Cal.7290
CITIZEN 70's SEVEN STAR V2 / Cal.7290
Introducing the 1970 Citizen Seven Star V2 .
"Citizen" was named with the hope that the company would be loved by citizens.
Since its predecessor, Shokosha Watch Manufacturing, was founded in 1892 , the company has been passionate about pursuing new technology.
The company has led the Japanese watch industry by developing a series of watches that actively incorporate cutting-edge technologies, such as the Parashock, the first domestically made watch to feature an earthquake-resistant device, and the Parawater, the first domestically made automatic, completely waterproof watch.
Its technical capabilities have been recognized worldwide, and Citizen has now become a brand trusted by people around the world and is one of the leading manufacturers of domestically produced watches.
The Citizen Seven Star V2 we are introducing this time is a model that was popular among young people at the time due to its wide variety of variations.
The pet name " V2 " has multiple meanings, including " V2 speed," the speed an airplane reaches just before takeoff, as well as vitality and victory.
The dial is a black dial with an enamel-like luster, and the hands are pencil hands.
The second hand is painted red, improving visibility and serving as a nice accent to the dial.
When looking at the watch from the front, the outer edge of the dial is painted gray on the right side and navy on the left side.
This color scheme is rare, and has a casual feel that is typical of the 1970s , characterized by its colorful use of colors.
The stainless steel case has an impressive, powerful silhouette that emphasizes its surface, but the bezel is finely millegrained, giving it an air of elegance and delicacy that contrasts with the strength of the case.
The Seven Star V2 was created with a focus on practicality and design.
The movement is an automatic with 23 jewels, Cal. 7290 .
Equipped with a day-date function and second hand regulation (hack function), this movement is designed with everyday use in mind.
If you pull the crown out one notch, you can fast forward the date by operating the crown.
Size: height: 39.9mm , width: 41.1mm , thickness: 10.0mm , weight: 75g .
The pop design goes well with casual clothing such as sweatshirts and shirts, as well as high-tech material clothing, making it a piece that is perfect for casual wear in private settings.
As for condition, there are a few light dents on the case, but it does not affect use.
The dial is in beautiful condition with no signs of wear.
The glass windshield is replaced with a new one during the initial check.
The movement is working fine and the calendar function also works smoothly.

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
