Introducing Elgin in the 1940s .

American watch manufacturer Elgin started in 1864 as the National Watch Company, then changed its name to the current Elgin in 1874 .

One of the founding members was a former Waltham watch technician, so Elgin's technical skills were well-received from the beginning, and it didn't take long for Elgin to join the ranks of major companies.

At its peak, the company employed more than 2,000 staff and produced as many as 1,000 movements a day.During World War II , the company delivered military watches, and even after the war, it continued to actively release watches with various mechanisms and designs, making it one of America's leading companies. It is a brand that existed as one of the watch brands.

The Elgin we are introducing this time is also a typical American watch, with an Art Deco-inspired design.

The case is finished with 10KT gold plating, and the pale pink color reminiscent of rosé champagne gives it a very elegant feel.

Next, if you look at the dial, you will see that the hands are blued steel hands, which are used in high-end watches.
At that time, in order to increase the strength of the hands, the stainless steel was manually hardened, which changed the color of the hands to a deep blue.

The inclusion of this blue serves as a nice accent that tightens up the look of the watch, which is all done in pale pink.
In addition, the Breguet hands have rounded tips, making this watch even more classic and elegant.

This watch has a unique presence, reminiscent of high-end jewelry, due to the color of the material and the high design.

The movement is equipped with Cal.555 , a hand-wound movement with 17 jewels.
The stone used is ruby, a natural stone.
In addition, gold was used for the gold-colored parts that stopped the stones, making it a high-class movement at the time known as a "high jewel movement."

Size: Height: 36.9mm , Width: 27.6mm , Thickness: 10mm , Weight: 18g

At the time, this watch was made for men, but since it is now a boy's size, women can also use it without any problems.
In addition, this watch is made small, weighing only 18g , so it won't get tired even if you wear it for a long time.

In terms of condition, the case has some minor scratches due to use, but the edges remain solid.
The dial shows signs of aging, but there is no problem with visibility.
Rather, it leads to a classic atmosphere that is typical of vintage watches.
The movement is working without any problems and is in good condition.
