Introducing the Elgin Automatic from the 1960s .

Elgin is a long-established brand that represents the history of American watches, founded in Illinois, USA in 1864 .
Since the days of pocket watches, the company has boasted high precision and production capacity, and at its peak it was known as one of the world's largest watch manufacturers.

In the mid -20th century, the company also focused on manufacturing wristwatches, offering a wide range of military watches and practical models.
In the 1950s and 1960s , the company actively adopted Swiss movements and produced watches that combined the unique design of an American brand with Swiss technology.

The Elgin Automatic has an appealing look that is different from Swiss watches.

The soft ivory-colored dial has changed with age, revealing countless tiny spots, giving it a unique look that can only be achieved over a long period of time.
The texture changes depending on the angle of the light, giving it the depth that is unique to vintage watches.

The indexes are composed of three-dimensional Arabic numerals arranged around the outer periphery and wedge-shaped upright indexes placed at key points.
It strikes an exquisite balance between practicality, similar to military watches, and elegance that is closer to dress.

The hands feature a unique diamond-shaped design, and the unique movement of the second hand gives the watch a distinctive rhythm.

The case is a rounded case with a three-dimensional design featuring slightly protruding lugs.
Although the form is simple and free of excessive decoration, the shape of the edges and the transitions between the surfaces give it a certain beauty of form.

The movement is an automatic with 17 jewels, Cal. 643 .

This is a Swiss-made automatic movement, and this caliber was used in many of Elgin's practical models from the late 1950s to the 1960s .
It features a robust design that is designed for everyday use.

Case size: height: 37.5mm , width: 32.4mm , thickness: 10.3mm , weight: 34g .

This model has a classic look and blends naturally with simple outfits.

It goes well with calm styles such as shirts and knits, as well as slightly rougher casual styles.
The size fits comfortably under your cuff, making it a subtle presence during your everyday activities.

The condition of the case is good with only minor scratches from use and no noticeable scratches.
The dial has changed due to aging, but this does not affect visibility.
The movement is running smoothly and there are no problems with use.
