Introducing the Enicar "Star Jewel" from the 1960s.
"ENICAR" is a watch brand founded in Switzerland in 1913.
The brand name is derived from the Racine family (the founders), spelled backward, and by the mid-20th century, it had grown into a manufacturer that produced its own movements.
In the 1960s, Enicar developed a wide range of watches, from sports watches like the "Sherpa" series to automatic watches designed for everyday use.
The "STAR JEWELS" model is one of the watches produced during that era.
■ Dial and Case Design
The dial features a two-tone design with a bright silver tone in the center and a slightly different silver tone around the outer edge.
The center has a fine radial finish, and the outer edge has delicate concentric lines. While the colors are similar, the different finishes create a sense of depth.
The indexes are thick applied bar indexes.
Combined with thick baton hands that have a black line in the center, it ensures clear visibility even on the pale dial.
A date display is positioned at 3 o'clock.
The red numerals for the date add a subtle accent to the understated dial.
The case has a linear form, wrapping the round dial with the case sides and lugs seamlessly integrated.
Without a bezel, the smooth connection from the edge of the crystal to the case creates a clean impression, making the dial appear larger.
Another distinctive feature is the sharp shaping towards the lugs, which evokes the modern atmosphere of the 1960s.
The soft-toned dial and sharp case design.
This is a piece that showcases Enicar's unique individuality, balancing different elements well.
■ Movement
The movement is Enicar's in-house automatic movement, "Cal.AR1145".
Enicar gave its in-house movements the "AR" designation, which comes from the Racine family, the founders.
Cal.AR1145 is one of the movements that reminds us of the era when Enicar produced its own movements.
In addition to the automatic winding mechanism, it features a date display at 3 o'clock, making it a practical design for everyday use.
While not a glamorous complex mechanism, its ease of use and simple construction are appealing.
■ Styling
Case size: Length 39.8mm (including lugs) / Width 36.7mm (including crown) / Thickness 11.2mm / Weight 68g (including band)
With its elegant silver-based design, this watch is versatile enough to be worn with a wide range of outfits, from jacket styles to casual attire.
When paired with a shirt and slacks, the dial's outer ring and three-dimensional indexes provide a subtle accent, adding a vintage touch to a refined look.
It also pairs well with more relaxed outfits such as knitwear, polo shirts, and chino pants.
The linear form of the case keeps the overall look sharp, preventing it from appearing too casual.
While understated, it has distinct details upon closer inspection.
This watch is recommended for those who want to subtly enjoy a vintage watch by naturally incorporating it into their daily attire.
■ Condition
The crystal has been replaced with a new one, allowing you to view the dial clearly.
While there are minor signs of use on the case, typical for a vintage watch, there are no noticeable large scratches or dents, and the overall condition remains good.
There is no significant damage to the dial or indexes that would detract from its appearance.
The movement is currently running well, and both the exterior and mechanics are in a condition suitable for daily use.

● Important Notice Regarding Antique Watch Purchases, Please Read Carefully ●
At RESUME, when selling antique watches, we do not ship immediately upon receiving your order.
Instead, we request an overhaul (hereinafter "OH") from a specialized craftsman, and deliver the watch after the OH is complete. (This period is approximately 1 to 2 months.)
A professional craftsman, certified as a Class 1 watch repair technician, will thoroughly disassemble the watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean, and lubricate it.
The watch will be serviced to an accuracy of approximately ±1 minute per day.
Upon delivery, we will also include our unique OH certificate, detailing the work performed, along with photos of the movement during disassembly and maintenance.
Of course, due to the nature of pre-owned products, there is no absolute guarantee against future malfunctions. However, to allow you to enjoy the watch's original performance and use it with confidence in the future, we have adopted this policy. We appreciate your understanding.
