Introducing the Eterna "Eterna Matic 1000 Concept 80 " from the 1960s .

Founded in Grenchen, Switzerland in 1856 , Eterna is a long-established brand known for its precision watchmaking and innovative technological development.
When the company was first founded, it began by supplying pocket watch movements, and later expanded into manufacturing its own wristwatches.

The Eterna-matic, released in 1948 , was a revolutionary automatic winding mechanism that used ball bearings on the rotor shaft, dramatically reducing wear and improving winding efficiency.
This innovation influenced many manufacturers later on and laid the foundation for Eterna's name to be etched in the history of Swiss watches.

Eterna is also the parent company of ETA and is known as one of the brands that supported the Swiss watch industry.

The Concept 80 , which appeared from the late 1960s to the early 1970s , was a model born at a time when Eterna had perfected its in-house developed automatic winding mechanism, the Eterna- matic .

The dial is a calm silver dial with a grayish tone.
It features a matte texture that quietly absorbs light, giving it a deep, tranquil impression that is characteristic of vintage items.

The three-dimensional bar indexes are carefully chamfered, resulting in a delicate finish that catches the light subtly depending on the angle.

The case has a cushion-shaped form.
The rounded shape and sharply edgy surface structure are beautifully combined to create a design that reflects the design trends of the time.

The texture of the stainless steel matches well with the matte dial, giving the watch an overall sophisticated and calm impression.

The movement is equipped with the automatic winding Cal. 1488K.

Eterna's in-house developed automatic movement.
The " Eterna-matic " mechanism uses five ball bearings on the rotor shaft to significantly reduce friction, improving winding efficiency and durability.

With a simple structure and excellent maintenance, it is one of Eterna's most representative calibers, combining practicality and reliability.
The date can be changed by turning the crown.

Size: Height: 40.1mm , Width: 38.8mm , Thickness: 10.5mm , Weight: 74g .

The Concept 80 's understated and calm design makes it a watch that can be worn in any situation and with a wide range of styles.
When worn with a suit, the soft look of the matte dial subtly stands out from the cuffs, enhancing the classic impression.

On the other hand, it also goes well with casual styles such as shirts and knits, creating a sophisticated yet relaxed look.

This timeless design is loved throughout the ages and adds a quiet elegance to any outfit.

Condition: The case has minor scratches due to use.
The dial has changed due to aging, but this does not affect visibility.
The movement is running smoothly and the calendar function works fine.

It is equipped with an aftermarket mesh bracelet.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we have a professional overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) the watch, and then we deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1-2 months.)

Our specialized craftsmen, who are first-class watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine to you, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which will show you what kind of overhaul work was done on the machine, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and serviced.
