Introducing the Mido Multifort Large Case from the 1950s .

MIDO was founded in 1918 under the brand slogan "Timeless: the mark of truly great design."

Since our founding, we have continued to make watches that combine timeless, unique design with functionality, and have been making automatic watches for over 100 years.

In the past, they have also produced a collaboration watch with Hermes, and the Multifort we are introducing this time was sold with the brand name on it and an Hermes leather strap.

This brand is highly regarded worldwide for both the functionality and design of its watches.

The standard Mido Multifort has a small case size of 30mm wide, but the model we are introducing this time is what is known as a large case model, measuring 35mm wide.
The large case version will be produced in extremely limited numbers, making it a highly rare piece .

The dial is a dark brown and black bullseye dial.
The brown color deepens over time, giving it a sense of dignity, and the lustrous color enhances the appeal of this watch.

The Arabic indexes are arranged to fit neatly within the black circle.

The comical font Arabic numerals are painted with luminous material.
The numbers are slightly raised due to the paint, creating a three-dimensional effect on the dial and giving it a richer, more refined look.
This is a detail unique to the 1950s and is different from printed processing.

If you look at the back of the case, you will see an engraving indicating that it is "magnetic-resistant and waterproof."
Not only was it stylish, but it was also made with practicality in mind, incorporating the most advanced technology of the time.

The MIDO Multifort Large Case combines beauty and functionality, giving the illusion of looking at a work of art.

The movement is 17 jewels, automatic Cal.917 .

Equipped with a half-rotor mechanism, which was the forerunner of automatic winding mechanisms.

When the rotor rotates about halfway, it hits the bumper and you hear a clicking sensation.
This movement still has many enthusiasts today who enjoy the unique vibration of the half rotor, which is transmitted in time with the movement of the arm when worn, giving the pleasant feeling that the watch is actually moving.

Size: height: 40.7mm , width: 35.7mm , thickness: 10.7mm , weight: 35g .

Perfect size for a man with a 17cm wrist.

The heavy, sophisticated colors give off a unique vibe when worn.

It goes well with formal attire such as jackets and suits, as well as casual items such as denim jackets and knits, and sporty styles such as sweatshirts.

The case is in good condition with no noticeable scratches or dents.

The dial is aging, but there is no problem with visibility.

The movement is running smoothly and without any issues.

Please be sure to read the following information after purchasing an antique watch.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
