Introducing the Omega Seamaster from the 1960s .

In 1894 , the Louis Brandt brothers company, the predecessor of Omega, succeeded in developing a revolutionary movement.

Until then, watchmaking was dominated by parts that had different specifications and had to be adjusted one by one. Adjusting the time accuracy required considerable skill and time, which meant that highly accurate watches were very expensive.

The Brand brothers then developed a movement that would allow for streamlined production by standardizing parts to make them interchangeable. This shortened development time and kept prices low, while still achieving incredible accuracy for the time.

The Brand brothers named this movement "Ω," the last letter of the Greek alphabet, to convey the meaning of "ultimate," and they also changed the name of their company to the current "Omega Watch Company."

The Seamaster we are introducing this time is an attractive model with a unique look that develops with age.

The dial is a sunray-finished silver dial, and the indexes are cut trapezoidal upright indexes with dolphin hands.
At first glance, it appears to be a standard Seamaster watch, but what is particularly noteworthy is the unique look of the dial that emerges as it ages.

As it ages, the silver dial changes to a distinctive silver with a dull luster.
The surrounding spots also give it a heavy, steel-like appearance.

In addition, center cross lines at 12-6 o'clock and 3-9 o'clock improve the visibility of the dial while giving the watch a more refined look.

This watch is a perfect blend of design and aging, and is a rare piece with a rich expression.

The movement is a 24 jewel automatic model, Cal. 552 .

This movement is so refined that it serves as the basis for the fully rotating automatic winding mechanism from Cal. 552 onwards, and it offers excellent precision and durability.
It is easy to use, so even those purchasing a vintage watch for the first time can use it with confidence.

When you purchase a watch, we will attach a new leather strap to it when you deliver it to you.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul it (hereinafter referred to as OH) and deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul we performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will properly repair the product, but there will be a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
