Introducing the 1970s Omega "De Ville."

The De Ville emerged in the 1960s as a dress line derived from the Seamaster, later becoming an independent collection.

Unlike the Seamaster, which prioritized water resistance and practicality, the De Ville featured a slimmer profile and an elegant design that blended seamlessly with any attire.

In the 1970s, models incorporating square cases and Roman numerals appeared, showcasing a contemporary design sensibility within the dignified nature of a dress watch.

This collection offers Omega's characteristic practicality while subtly adding individuality to your wrist.

■ Dial and Case Design

The dial features a deep navy color.

It has a unique finish with fine irregularities, changing its appearance from deep blue to a slightly brighter blue tone depending on how the light hits it.

The indices are white Roman numerals.
Unlike typical bar indices, this detail gives a strong classic impression.

The hands are sleek, slender pencil hands.
The combination of the navy dial with white indices and hands enhances not only the design but also legibility.

The case is a slim square case.

While based on a linear square form, it features a unique shape with rounded sides.
The gentle, non-angular lines contribute to a refined impression befitting a dress watch.

The slim case fits easily under shirt cuffs, and its design complements the elegant appearance of the navy dial.

Although the case is gold-plated, the plating has worn down due to age and use, revealing the underlying stainless steel over most of the surface.
Some gold color remains on the tips, offering a glimpse of the original exterior.

While typically a point of concern for exterior condition, in this particular piece, the combination of the deep navy dial and the silver-toned case creates a refined impression, distinct from its original gold case.

This watch allows you to feel the passage of time, including the changes to its case.

■ Movement

The watch is equipped with Omega's manual-winding movement, "Cal.625."

Cal.625 is a thin manual-winding movement used in 1970s De Ville models, among others.
Unlike automatic movements, it has a simple structure that requires winding the crown for operation, making it suitable for slim cases.

It pairs well with the elegant form characteristic of the De Ville, contributing to the light and comfortable wearing experience of a dress watch.

While not a movement with flashy mechanisms, it is easy to handle daily, and its simple structure embodies Omega's practical utility.

■ Styling

Length 31.4mm (incl. lugs) / Width 24.5mm (incl. crown) / Thickness 6.2mm / Lug Width: 19mm / Weight 22g (incl. strap)

The deep navy dial and slim square case are a perfect match for shirts and jackets.

The white Roman numerals add a pleasant brightness to the dial, creating a subtle elegance within the subdued color palette.

While the case shows a silver tone due to gold plating wear, this subdues the typical flashiness of a gold case, making it easier to integrate into everyday attire.

Paired with a brown leather strap, the navy dial gains a softer, classic feel.
With a black leather strap for a sharper look, it can be worn with slacks or a jacket for a sophisticated impression.

This watch possesses the elegance of a dress watch while naturally blending into everyday wear.

■ Condition

Regarding the condition, the dial is in a beautiful state with no noticeable damage.

The case is gold-plated, but the plating has worn down due to age and use, revealing the underlying silver tone throughout.
Some gold color remains on the tips of the case, and while there are signs of use on the exterior, it does not affect functionality.

The movement operates smoothly and can be used without any issues.

● Important Information After Purchasing an Antique Watch, Please Read Carefully ●

At RESUME, when selling antique watches, we do not deliver them immediately after your order. Instead,
we entrust them to a professional craftsman for overhaul (OH), and deliver them after the OH is completed. (This typically takes about 1-2 months).

A professional craftsman, certified as a first-class watch repair technician, will completely disassemble the watch, replace consumable parts like internal gaskets, clean, lubricate, and perform a thorough OH,
maintaining an accuracy of approximately ±1 minute per day. We will also send you a unique OH certificate from our store upon delivery, detailing the work performed during the OH, along with photographs of the disassembled and serviced movement.

While it's true that the product itself, being a used item, cannot be guaranteed against breakdowns, we undertake this process to ensure you can enjoy the watch's original performance and use it with confidence in the future. We appreciate your understanding.

When purchasing a product, a 1-year warranty period is provided depending on the model. Even for products past their warranty period, we offer repair services for a fee. If you don't have a repair shop nearby, please feel free to consult us.
