Introducing Orient's "Three Star" from the 1970s .

In the 1950s , as wristwatch manufacturing in Japan was beginning to pick up steam, Orient began to move ahead of other domestic manufacturers, aiming to capture markets in overseas markets such as China and the United States.

However, in order to compete overseas where Swiss watches already dominated the market, Orient began selling its products with the originality of "high quality at low prices, and designs not found in Swiss watches."

Among these, Orient received high praise for its in-house movements, and in terms of design, it had a major influence on watch design, introducing the world's first square watch for ladies, which led other watch manufacturers to also release square watches.

In this way, Orient, which was born in Japan, grew into a company that is recognized and active around the world.

This time we will introduce Orient's "Three Star".

The three consecutive stars placed at the 6 o'clock position are called the "Three Star" series, and this series was born from the desire to "provide customers with high value" in three areas: quality, design, and price.

The black dial creates a unique luster like enamel, highlighting the Orient logo at the 12 o'clock position and the three aces at the 6 o'clock position in three dimensions.

The round stainless steel case has a cute, plump thickness when viewed from the side, a case design unique to Orient.
The case silhouette neutralizes the strength of the black dial, giving the design a casual feel.

The windshield is made of cut glass, a style unique to the 1970s .
The top is flat, but the edges are cut to decorate the watch elegantly without ruining the look of the dial.

*Although there are some scratches, original cut glass is extremely valuable, so we are proposing it in its current condition.

"Three Aces" is a brand that is highly praised for its design and is packed with 70's Oriental taste.

The movement is an automatic movement with 25 jewels.

With an established reputation for its in-house manufactured movements, the brand boasts high precision and is also easy to maintain.
This movement is highly practical, as it allows the date to be fast-forwarded using the push button at the 2 o'clock position.

Size: height: 44mm , width: 40mm , thickness: 13.1mm , weight: 65g .

The distinctive case and glossy black dial give the watch a strong presence when worn.

The design is not too elegant, but has just the right amount of casual feel.

It goes well with suits and jackets, of course, but if you change the belt to a brown color, it will give a more casual feel, so you can coordinate it with sweatshirts and flannel shirts.

The condition is good, with some small scratches on the case from use, but no major scratches.
The dial is in good condition with no scratches.
The glass windshield has some scratches, but it does not affect visibility, and since Orient's original cut glass windshield is very valuable, we are using it as is.
The movement runs smoothly and the calendar function works without any problems.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.

When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
