Introducing the Rado "Green Horse 6" from the 1960s.
Rado is a watch brand that originated from the Schlup & Co. company, founded in Lengnau, Switzerland, in 1917.
In the 1950s, it began to release watches bearing the "Rado" name, and "Green Horse" appeared as one of its early collections.
Known as a collection released in the late 1950s, it is considered one of Rado's early models that emphasized water resistance.
■Dial and Case Design
The dial is a silver dial with a fine radial finish extending from the center to the outer edge.
The tone changes from bright silver to pale gray depending on the angle, giving it a neat impression typical of a 1960s practical watch.
The indices are three-dimensional applied bar indices.
Thick bars are placed at 12 and 6 o'clock, and slender bars at other positions, creating a simple yet well-balanced composition.
Fine minute markers are placed around the outer edge, ensuring excellent legibility.
At 12 o'clock, the rotating anchor mark, symbolic of Rado's automatic models, is positioned.
At 6 o'clock, the "Green Horse 6" cursive logo is displayed, and at 9 o'clock, a green seahorse mark adds Rado's unique character to the neat silver dial.
The red date display at 3 o'clock also provides a subtle accent.
The case is a rounded one.
The lines from the slim bezel to the smoothly extending lugs are clean and create a well-balanced design that fits comfortably on the wrist.
The gentle curve of the acrylic crystal also enhances the vintage watch's authentic atmosphere.
The case back features a medallion adorned with two seahorses.
Together with the seahorse mark on the dial, this detail evokes the essence of Green Horse.
Another attractive feature is the included original Rado bracelet.
The "RADO" logo on the buckle creates a cohesive look with the watch body.
The classic round case and fine-link bracelet blend well, allowing you to fully enjoy the vintage Rado atmosphere.
■Movement
The movement features the automatic Cal.1806.
This automatic movement, seen in Rado's 1960s vintage watches, also allows for manual winding, making it practical and easy to wind when first used.
The gentle sweep of the 18,000 vibrations per hour (low-beat) is another charm unique to vintage watches.
It is a reliable movement suitable for the classic design of the Green Horse 6, equipped with a date function.
■Styling
Case size: Length 40mm, Width 37.7mm, Thickness 11.4mm, Weight 75g

●Information after purchasing an antique watch, please read carefully●
At RESUME, when selling antique watches, we do not hand them over immediately after your order.
Instead, we request an overhaul (OH) from a professional craftsman, and deliver the watch after the OH is completed. (This takes approximately 1 to 2 months.)
A certified watch repair technician (Level 1) will completely disassemble the watch, replace consumable parts such as internal gaskets, clean, and lubricate it.
We perform a thorough OH and service the watch to an accuracy of approximately ±1 minute per day.
When we deliver the watch, we will also send our original OH certificate, which details the work performed during the OH, along with photos of the disassembled and serviced movement.
Of course, since the product itself is used, there is no guarantee that it will never break. However, we take these measures so that you can enjoy the watch's original performance and use it with confidence in the future. We appreciate your understanding.
For product purchases, we offer a 1-year warranty depending on the model. Even for products beyond the warranty period, we accept repair requests for a fee.
If you do not have a repair shop nearby, please feel free to consult us.
