Introducing Seiko's " S Mark Seiko" in the 1940s .

Seiko was founded in 1877 by Kintaro Hattori, who founded the Hattori Watch Repair Shop. Initially, he sold and repaired used watches, and then continued to improve his skills by visiting other watch shops as a repairman. Four years later, in 1881, he established Hattori Watch Shop.

At first, the company sold and repaired imported watches, but in 1892 , they established a watch manufacturing division called ``Seikosha'' to make use of the technology they had cultivated over the years.

Seiko has built the foundation of the Japanese watch industry, starting with the manufacture of wall clocks and successfully developing the first domestically produced pocket watches and wristwatches.

It has now earned the title of ``Seiko of the World''.

The " S Mark Seiko" we are introducing this time is an attractive model with a small seconds system and a vintage atmosphere.

When you look at the dial, the imposing " S " mark at the 12 o'clock position catches your eye.
The " S " mark is a detail that can only be seen on models manufactured up to 1959 and is a sign of vintage Seiko.

Surrounded by gold flying Arabic and wedge-shaped indexes, the two-tone dial is an unusual combination of pale beige and silver, highlighting the elegance of the " S " mark and indexes.

The case is a square case with a characteristic gentle curve line.
The cut case looks like a frame for a painting, and gorgeously decorates the dial.

" S Mark Seiko" is made with great effort and cost.
This is a watch that allows you to enjoy the elegance and worldview unique to vintage watches.

The movement is equipped with a manual winding model.
It is a movement with details unique to the 1940s, such as the distinctive bridge shape and balance screw.

Size: Height: 35.3mm , Width: 27.5mm , Thickness: 9.2mm , Weight: 26g .

It is small and lightweight, so even women can wear it without any problems.
The simple design goes well with not only jacket styles, but also casual clothing such as leather jackets and shirt styles.

In terms of condition, there is some plating peeling on some parts of the case, but there is no problem with use, and it actually enhances the vintage atmosphere.
The dial is in good condition with no noticeable stains.
The movement is working without any problems.

At RESUME, when selling antique watches, we do not hand them over immediately after receiving your order, but instead request an overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) from a professional craftsman, and then deliver the watch after the OH is completed. (Duration is approximately 2-3 months)

Our professional craftsmen, who are certified as watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace consumable parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, lubricate it, and maintain it to the point where it is within ±1 minute per day.

We will also send you our own OH certificate, as well as photos of the machine when it was disassembled and serviced, to show you what kind of work was done during the OH upon delivery.

Of course, since the product itself is a used item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we have taken this precaution so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with confidence in the future. Thank you for your understanding.

When purchasing a product, we provide a one-year warranty period depending on the model. Even if the product is out of date, we will repair it for a fee. If you don't have a repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
