Introducing Seiko's ``Crown Proficiency Certification Test'' from the 1960s .
"Watch Repair Technician" is the only national qualification for watch repair.
There are two parts to the certification: a written exam and a practical exam where you actually repair a watch.This movement was made for the practical exam, and unlike regular movements, it is gold-plated. .
The reason for the gold plating seems to be that it was done in order to prevent fraud by replacing the parts at the time of certification.
This crown is equipped with a very rare movement, as it is used only for certification and basically does not appear on the market.
The crown we are introducing this time is a highly rare model equipped with a movement for skill certification tests.
The design is simple, with a gold-plated round case, gold-colored dolphin hands, and bar indexes.
The silver sunray finish of the disc is a nice accent as it reflects the light it receives in a radial manner.
This is a watch with an impressive rustic look typical of Seiko at the time, with an emphasis on practicality and no unnecessary decoration.
The movement is hand-wound with 21 jewels and is equipped with Cal.560 .
Since it is for testing purposes, it is gold plated.
Basically, it has the same configuration as Cal.560 installed in other crowns, so accuracy and durability are guaranteed.
Since it is used for certification, it proves how high the basic performance of this movement is.

Although it has a simple design, the gold-plated case will brighten up your wrist.

As the gold in the case undergoes aging, it changes to a pale color, so it blends well with the skin and does not give off any of the unpleasantness that is characteristic of gold.
In terms of condition, the case has only minor scratches and the edges are still intact.
There is no visible plating peeling.
The dial is in good condition with no visible signs of corrosion.
The movement is working fine.
Although it is not the original at the time, it is equipped with a current Seiko leather band.

At RESUME, when selling antique watches, we do not hand them over immediately after receiving your order, but instead request an overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) from a professional craftsman, and then deliver the watch after the OH is completed. (Duration is approximately 1-2 months)
Our professional craftsmen, who are certified as watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace consumable parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, lubricate it, and maintain it to the point where it is within ±1 minute per day.
We will also send you our own OH certificate, as well as photos of the machine when it was disassembled and serviced, to show you what kind of work was done during the OH upon delivery.
Of course, since the product itself is a used item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we have taken this precaution so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with confidence in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
When purchasing a product, we provide a one-year warranty period depending on the model. Even if the product is out of date, we will repair it for a fee. If you don't have a repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
