Introducing the Seiko Chronograph made in 1964 .

The Tokyo Olympics was also a stage to showcase Japan's post-war reconstruction to the world.
To commemorate the event, Seiko will be releasing a chronograph as an Olympic commemorative model.

Developed based on Seiko's famous "Crown" model, this model is the first domestically produced mechanical chronograph.
The minute counter, which is commonly equipped on other chronograph models, has been modified for use with the chronograph by moving the fourth wheel of the crown movement, so this model features a simple structure that does not feature a minute counter.

Since it had a simple structure with only a stopwatch function, it was sold at a reasonable price for a chronograph model at the time.

The chronograph can be said to be a very important watch in the history of Japanese watches.

The Seiko chronograph we are introducing this time is an early model with a plastic bezel.

The dial is a simple design that is easy to read, with a black sunburst finish, upright bar indexes, and dolphin hands.

The outer edge of the index has large numbers printed at 5- second intervals to make the scale easier to read when the chronograph is running.

The bezel is made of black plastic.
From the mid-model onwards, the bezel material was changed to stainless steel , and the early models, which were made of plastic and had the torch mark on the back cover, were only produced for a short period of time, making them extremely rare.

The case is round with a prominent pusher at the 2 o'clock position.
The pushers are large and easy to press, and are used to start, stop and reset the chronograph.

In order to make the most of its chronograph functionality, this chronograph was designed with visibility in mind, from the shape of the hands to the position of the scale and balance.

The movement is a 21- jewel, hand-wound Cal. 5719A .

Since it is based on the Crown movement, it is extremely reliable in terms of accuracy.
Since it does not have complicated functions such as a minute counter, it is easier to maintain and maintain than other chronograph models.

Size: height: 44.7mm , width: 41.1mm , thickness: 11.3mm , weight: 46g .

Although it is a chronograph model, it is less than 12mm thick, so it doesn't interfere with your sleeves.
In addition, the weight is kept low, so you won't get tired even if you wear it for a long time.

The sporty design goes well with casual clothing, and the solid volume makes it easy to incorporate into any outfit, even when paired with sweats, high-tech materials, or T- shirts.

Condition: The case has some small scratches from use, but no noticeable scratches or dents.
The bezel is in good condition with no cracks or chips, and the dial has no major chips.
The torch mark on the back cover is visible and in good condition.
The dial has some wear on the hands in the center, but this does not affect visibility.
The movement is in good working order and the chronograph works great.
