SEIKO 68's 61 GRAND SEIKO Cal.6146A
SEIKO 68's 61 GRAND SEIKO Cal.6146A
Introducing the Seiko " 61 Grand Seiko" manufactured in 1968 .
Since its introduction in the 1960s , Grand Seiko (hereafter referred to as GS ) has always strived to create the "best wristwatch."
It now reigns supreme as a model recognized worldwide as the pinnacle of Japanese-made watches.
The " 61GS ", which was released in 1968 , was the first domestically produced automatic 10 -beat model equipped with Cal. 6146 .
The high-beat model boasts a high vibration frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour, which is impressive when compared to the low-beat model's 18,000 vibrations per hour.
Thanks to Cal.6146 , it is less susceptible to posture differences and external disturbances, providing more stable and higher accuracy.
Furthermore, it adopted Seiko's unique winding method, the "Magic Lever," and was released as the highest-end GS model at the time.
The Seiko " 61 Grand Seiko" we are introducing this time was released as GS's first automatic high-beat model.
Therefore, at the 6 o'clock position on the dial, the word " HI-BEAT " and the number 36,000 , which represents the vibration frequency, are printed underneath the " GS " logo.
The case design is in the "Seiko design" style, which is dominated by flat surfaces and straight lines.
The sharp design with its sharp edges is the complete opposite of the solid and powerful form of previous GS models.
Cutting the case requires an extremely high level of skill, and it is a design that only Seiko, with its advanced cutting technology, could realize.
The indexes and hands are specially shaped upright indexes with a cut finish, and bar hands with black in the center.
The extensive use of flat surfaces in the indexes also enhances the contrast of the entire dial, improving visibility.
It is no exaggeration to say that the dignified beauty of the 61 Grand Seiko is the crystallization of Japanese aesthetic sense.
The movement is a 25 jewel automatic, Cal. 6146A .
In addition to achieving high precision through its high beat specifications, this movement is also equipped with Seiko's unique winding mechanism, the Magic Lever, making it truly worthy of a high-class model.
It also has a hack function that stops the second hand and a date fast-forward function that uses the crown.
The rotor is designed with great attention to appearance, with fine lines engraved on it.
Size: Height: 39.5mm , Width: 36.8mm , Thickness: 10.2mm , Weight: 51g
The clean, futuristic case design matches formal attire such as suits and jackets, but also goes well with tech wear made from high-tech materials, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of coordination.
Condition: There are some small scratches on the case, but the edges remain strong.
The medallion on the back cover is also in good condition with no corrosion or chipping.
The dial is in beautiful condition with no stains or corrosion.
The movement is working smoothly and all functions, including the hack, work without any issues.
