Introducing the Seiko " 5 Actus" made in 1969 .

The 5 Actus is a model derived from the Seiko 5 and was launched in 1970 as a series targeted at young people.

Although it is an affordable watch, it has various functions such as automatic winding, water resistance, and day-date, and it comes in a wide variety of designs.

The 5 Actus was a popular watch among young people because it was a watch that was aimed at new workers and young people at the time, with young people featured in advertisements to reflect changes in people's lifestyles.

The " SS " at the 6 o'clock position is an abbreviation for Second Setting .

The " 5 Actus" features an impressive edgy cushion case.
The case size is 41.9mm in height and 39.1mm in width, which is large for a watch from the 1960s .
At first glance, it may seem difficult to wear, but the thickness is kept to 10.4mm and the sides of the case are curved to fit the wrist, making it fit perfectly when worn.

The dial is a silver dial with a sunray finish that gives it a beautiful luster, and the indexes and hands are upright bar indexes with dolphin hands.
This simple and highly visible design is unique to Seiko.

The 5 Actus has an attractive, stylish design, is highly practical, and easy to handle, making it a recommended watch for those purchasing a vintage watch for the first time.

The movement is a 21 jewel automatic, Cal. 7019A .

This automatic movement was widely adopted by Seiko at the time, and its simple structure and stable operation make it easy to maintain.

The date and day of the week can be changed by operating the crown.
It is a highly durable and very easy to use movement.

Size: height: 41.9mm , width: 39.1mm , thickness: 10.4mm , weight: 74g .

The casual and impactful design makes it easy to pair with a T- shirt or polo shirt, just like a bracelet.
It also goes well with shirt styles as well as tech wear.

The condition is good with some small scratches on the case due to use, but no major damage such as chips.
The dial is in good condition with no blemishes or stains.
The movement runs smoothly and the calendar function works without any issues.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
