SEIKO 71's 5 SPORTS Speed - Timer Cal.6139A
SEIKO 71's 5 SPORTS Speed - Timer Cal.6139A
Introducing the Seiko " 5 Sports Speed Timer" made in 1971 .
The Speed Timer was the world's first automatic winding chronograph (stopwatch) wristwatch, released by Seiko in 1969 .
At that time, chronographs had very complex structures and were produced in small numbers, so they were generally hand-wound and were found in high-end models.
However, the Cal. 6139 developed by Seiko uses the Magic Lever, which makes the manufacturing process as simple as possible while maintaining excellent winding efficiency and precision, resulting in high productivity and successful significant cost reductions.
It was also launched in the " 5 Sports" line for young people, and became a huge hit thanks to its casual design and reasonable price.
Stylish silver color, a 30- minute counter at the 6 o'clock position, a countdown-style inner bezel, and an eye-catching orange chronograph hand ...
The "Speed Timer" has an attractive, unique and sporty design that is reminiscent of the 1970s .
The "Speed Timer" we are introducing this time is a model called the " First Eye Chrono" which is equipped with only a 30- minute counter.
When you press the push button at the 2 o'clock position, the central chronograph hand will activate, and the sub-dial hand will move every minute, allowing you to measure 30 minutes.
The dial is silver with upright bar indexes and bar hands.
The inner bezel, engraved with numbers in countdown format, can be moved by operating the crown at the 3 o'clock position.
The design, which condenses a variety of information onto the dial, including the logo, register, day-date, and inner bezel, evokes the image of a cockpit instrument panel, making this a watch that will excite its owner.
The movement is a 21 jewel automatic, 6139A .
This highly practical movement employs Seiko's unique automatic winding mechanism, the Magic Lever system, and boasts high winding efficiency and precision.
The calendar is available in two languages, English and Japanese, and the date and day of the week can be quickly changed by turning the crown.
The chronograph can be operated using the crowns at the 14 o'clock and 16 o'clock positions and has a 30- minute measurement function.
Size: height: 43.9mm , width: 41.3mm , thickness: 13.9mm , weight: 104g .
The sporty design not only pairs well with leather jackets and military items, but the unique case design also incorporates an accessory element, making it stand out even when paired with a T- shirt.
The condition of the case is excellent, with only a small dent on the bottom of the case at 9 o'clock, and no other noticeable scratches.
The dial is in beautiful original condition with no signs of corrosion.
The movement is in good condition with no rust and works without any problems.
All functions such as the chronograph and calendar are working without any problems.
