Introducing the Seiko "Roadmatic" made in 1971 .

The "Roadmatic", released in 1968 , was announced as a luxury model that inherited the lineage of its predecessor, the "Matic".

This was the final model in the Matic series, which had an overwhelming sales record as a Seiko business watch up to that point.
"Roadmatic"
・Hand-winding mechanism as standard
- World's first crown-operated quick-change function for day and date
-Various new functions have been implemented, such as the ability to select the display of days of the week in Japanese and English.

The Roadmatic is a masterpiece watch that has left its mark in Seiko's history, and can be said to be the culmination of mechanical wristwatches, incorporating all of the technology that Seiko had cultivated up to that point.

The Roadmatic comes in a wide variety of case designs, but the square case we are introducing here is a rare piece with limited production.

The "total design" approach, which creates a unified look between the case and metal bracelet, makes the design more stylish than previous models.

There are various dial designs, including color gradation designs, but this particular watch features a navy dial with a calm atmosphere.

The indexes and hands are simply configured with upright bar indexes, a white pencil hand for the minute hand, and a bar hand with a white painted center for the minute hand.
The overall visibility is excellent, and the day-date markings at 3 o'clock are perfectly present.

Its distinctive design gives off a different aura from previous Seiko watches, making it truly worthy of the name "Lord."

The movement is an automatic with 23 jewels.

While incorporating many new functions, it boasts stable accuracy with 6 vibrations, and also comes standard with a speed fine adjustment device and a second hand regulation device (hack function).
It is a famous movement that has excellent operation and maintainability, and has influenced later King Seiko and Grand Seiko.

Size: Height: 37.5mm , Width: 33.6mm , Thickness: 10mm , Weight: 68g

This model was created as a business watch, so it goes well with suits and jackets, of course, but because of its unique design, it can also be paired with casual items such as denim jackets, leather jackets, and military wear, making it suitable for a variety of outfits.

Condition: The case is in good condition with only minor scratches.
The dial is in beautiful condition with no marks or stains.
The movement is working smoothly and there are no problems with the calendar or other functions.
It is equipped with a genuine Roadmatic metal bracelet.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.

When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
