SEIKO 72's 5ACTUS Cal.6106C
SEIKO 72's 5ACTUS Cal.6106C
Introducing the Seiko " 5 Actus" made in 1972 .
The model name " ACTUS " means "action" in Latin, and it was a model that was targeted at young people at the time.
Although the 5 Actus had highly practical functions such as automatic winding, waterproofing, and day-date, it attracted a lot of attention due to its affordable price range and stylish appearance.
In addition, as a result of aggressive efforts to appeal to people's changing lifestyles, such as by using young people in advertisements, it became a big hit, especially among the young generation at the time.
In addition, [ SS ] at the 6 o'clock position is an abbreviation for Second Setting ( second hand stop device ) .
The " 5 Actus" we are introducing this time has an impressive design reminiscent of the 70 's.
The gray dial has a sunray finish that reflects light radially, and the gray gradation color that the dial emits has a unique profound feeling that can only be expressed with this watch.
Each index is a specially shaped upright index that has been carefully cut on multiple sides, and the orange color on the top gives it a 70 's feel.
The case uses a voluminous tonneau-shaped case, with bar hands that give a sense of strength and an overall sporty design.
This model is truly worthy of the name ACTUS (action).
The movement is equipped with 6106C , an automatic movement with 23 jewels.
It is packed with a variety of functions, including automatic winding, waterproofing, earthquake resistance, day-date, fast-forwarding, and a hack function that stops the second hand.
Fast forwarding of the date can be operated using the crown for both the day of the week and the date.
Due to its high durability, it is a movement that is very easy to use on a daily basis.
Size: Height: 41.2mm , Width: 36.5mm , Thickness: 11.6mm , Weight: 88g .
The size makes it very easy to wear, and you won't get tired even if you wear it for a long time.
Due to its sporty design and distinctive color, it goes well with casual styles such as denim and shirts, as well as tech wear made of nylon.
Condition: The case has some minor scratches due to use, but the edges are still intact.
There are no signs of wear or dirt on the dial, and it remains in beautiful condition.
The movement is working without any problems, functions such as the calendar are also working without problems, and it is in good condition overall.
Equipped with a metal band exclusively for 5 Actus.
