Introducing Takano's "Precision" from the 1950s .
Takano, known as the legendary Japanese watch manufacturer, was founded in 1899 as the Takano Clock and Metal Products Factory.
In 1957 , the company entered into a technical partnership with Hamilton and began selling watches under the Takano name in the same year.
Equipped with Takano's original thin movement, Cal. 541 series, the Chateau became instantly famous with the catchphrase " The world's thinnest watch. "
It will develop into a brand that is noticed around the world.
However, in September 1959 , the Ise Bay Typhoon caused devastating damage to the company's production plant, and the company's financial situation deteriorated, leading to it being absorbed into Ricoh.
Although it existed for only a short period of four years and eleven months, its technical capabilities are not inferior to those of other domestic manufacturers, and it is a legendary domestic watch manufacturer with many fans.
The "Precision" we are introducing this time is one of Takano's representative models that pursues precision.
The dial has a stepped design, with the outer edge being one level higher, surrounding the central white dial.
The outer circumference is carved with fine linear grooves in a circular shape, giving it a matte texture.
The center and outer periphery have different sheen textures, creating a complex and deep expression.
The index is engraved, and the sharp edges, as if carved with a chisel, are beautifully colored in gold.
The needles used are pencil needles, giving a sense of delicacy.
The dial also features the Takano logo in gold at the 12 o'clock position.
The case is gold plated with a thickness of 20 microns.
The attractive feature of the Precision is the delicate beauty that is unique to Japanese vintage items.
The movement is a hand-wound type with 17 jewels, Cal.124 .
It was developed based on the movement of the German company Laco, which was providing the technology at the time.
Size: height: 42.2mm , width: 36.3mm , thickness: 9.6mm , weight: 37g .
The unique face color and the shine of the case will brighten up your wrist.
As it is a three- hand hand-wound watch, it is light and thin, so it is comfortable to wear and you won't get tired even if you wear it for a long time.
It goes well with a jacket, denim jacket, or dark colored shirt, and the shine of the watch will create an elegant look.
The condition of the case is good with no noticeable scratches or peeling plating.
The dial is in excellent condition with no visible corrosion.
The movement is rust-free and operates smoothly.
