Introducing the Zenith "Autosport" from the 60s.

Zenith was founded in 1865 in Le Locle, Switzerland.

They established an advanced manufacturing system for their time, handling everything from parts manufacturing to assembly in-house.
Zenith also focused on improving watch accuracy and has been highly regarded for producing watches that keep precise time.

This "Autosport" is a model that Zenith developed in the 1960s, emphasizing practicality.

Despite its sporty name, the design is not overly assertive, and it has a refined balance that makes it easy for everyday use.
The "28800" on the dial indicates a high-beat movement of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
This is a point where you can feel the technical appeal characteristic of Zenith at the time, which prioritized accuracy and stability.

■Dial and Case Design

The dial is a soft silver-toned bombé dial.

A bombé dial is a three-dimensional dial that gently curves outwards from the center.
Unlike a flat dial, it creates natural shadows depending on how the light hits it, giving it a sense of depth when viewed on the wrist.

This particular piece, combined with a fine sunray finish, gently changes its expression from pale silver to a subdued gray tone depending on the angle.
It is a simple dial, yet it shows the careful details characteristic of the 60s.

The hour markers are applied bar indexes with black lines.
While simple bar shapes, the black line in the center enhances legibility and neatly tightens the overall dial.

At the 12 o'clock position, there is the Zenith star mark and the inscription "automatic 28800".
At the 6 o'clock position, the "AUTO SPORT" logo is placed diagonally, adding a light impression characteristic of this model to the refined face.

The case is based on a rounded case, characterized by sharp lines extending smoothly towards the tips of the lugs.
The combination of the thin bezel and domed crystal naturally accentuates the curve of the bombé dial, creating a classic three-dimensional effect.

Furthermore, the fact that this piece is fitted with an original Zenith bracelet is also an attractive feature.
The buckle is engraved with "ZENITH", and the sense of unity with the watch body is excellent.
The silhouette that connects naturally from the case to the bracelet further enhances the atmosphere of a practical watch characteristic of the 60s.

■Movement

The movement is a Zenith automatic Cal.2562PC.

It is a high-beat movement that operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, measuring time with finer increments compared to typical 18,000 or 21,600 vibrations per hour movements.

This high frequency is one of the designs aimed at achieving stable accuracy.
The "28800" inscription on the dial also indicates the characteristics of this movement.

Furthermore, the Cal.2562PC is a 23-jewel automatic movement, and its practicality for everyday use is also attractive.
It is a caliber that embodies Zenith's expertise in accuracy and robust movement manufacturing.

■Styling

Case size: Length: 43.8mm, Width: 36.6mm, Thickness: 10.9mm, Weight: 68g.

This watch pairs well with neat styles such as shirts, knitwear, and slacks.

The calm atmosphere of the silver dial and round case, combined with the moderate presence of the original bracelet, creates a clean impression without being too classic.

It blends easily with jacket styles, as well as casual outfits with denim or chinos, making it a well-balanced watch for everyday use.

Despite being named a sports watch, its overall impression is elegant and refined.
It's a piece that allows you to naturally enjoy the practicality and elegance characteristic of 1960s Zenith in your daily attire.

■Condition

The condition is good, with no noticeable scratches on the case.
The dial maintains a beautiful state without any wear or corrosion.
The movement is operating well, and there are no issues with its use.

It is fitted with an original Zenith metal bracelet.
