IWC (International Watch Company) 60s-70s SCHAFFHAUSEN
IWC (International Watch Company) 60s-70s SCHAFFHAUSEN
Introducing IWC "Schaffhausen" from the 1960s and 1970s .
The International Watch Company ( IWC ) was founded in 1868 by American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones in Schaffhausen, northern Switzerland.
The brand aims to create watches that combine Swiss manufacturing excellence with American modern engineering, and its watches are characterized by their streamlined, sophisticated designs that prioritize everyday ease of use.
The "Schaffhausen" we are introducing this time is a rare one-piece case model, and is equipped with an original IWC metal bracelet.
The dial is a simple design with a sunburst silver dial, upright bar indexes, and pencil hands.
The indexes and hands are black, creating a dial with excellent contrast and visibility.
Because of its simplicity, the old and new IWC logos at the 12 o'clock position are emphasized, giving the dial an appealing, majestic look.
The case is a cushion-type one-piece case.
The integrated back cover makes the watch extremely airtight and highly waterproof, protecting the mechanism from water and sweat.
At first glance, the cushion case looks bulky, but it's only 10.5mm thick, so it's very comfortable to wear.
The crown is equipped with the "fish crown", which is a symbol of IWC waterproof models.
We continue to eliminate unnecessary decoration and pursue practicality.
Schaffhausen is truly a city worthy of the words "simple and sturdy."
The movement is an automatic model.
This is a practical movement with a hack function that stops the second hand when the crown is pulled out.
Size: height: 36.6mm , width: 37.2mm , thickness: 10.5mm , weight: 81g .
The simple design makes it suitable for both business and casual occasions.
The casual case design goes well with jackets, suits, and even sweatshirts.
The condition of the case is excellent with only minor scratches from use and no other noticeable scratches.
The dial is in beautiful condition, just like the original, with no noticeable wear or tear.
The movement is working fine and the hack function can be used without any problems.
It comes with a genuine IWC metal band.
*Due to the characteristics of the one-piece case, it may be necessary to replace the windshield when removing it during an overhaul.
Depending on the stock status of the windshield, we may need to use a different windshield, so the shape may be slightly different when you receive it.
Thank you for your understanding.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)
A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.
When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will properly repair the product, but there will be a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
