CITIZEN 69's SEVEN STAR Deluxe Cal.5290
CITIZEN 69's SEVEN STAR Deluxe Cal.5290
Introducing the 1969 Citizen "Seven Star Deluxe."
At the time, Citizen released the "Seven Star Deluxe" to compete with the popular Seiko 5 series.
Like the Seiko 5 , it has five functions - automatic winding, date, day of the week, shock resistance, and water resistance - plus two additional features - a hand-winding function using the crown and a change to a glass windshield - for a total of seven appealing points.
This model was popular among young people because it was available in a variety of designs and had functions that emphasized practicality.
Along with the Seiko 5 , the Seven Star Deluxe is one of the most representative Japanese automatic watches.
Citizen's Seven Star Deluxe comes in a variety of designs, from simple to pop.
The watch we are introducing this time is an attractive piece with a sporty design based on black and silver.
The dial has a very unique design with four sections, starting from the center where the pet's name is engraved, and then one section rising for each of the hour, minute, and second indexes.
This creates a distinctive three-dimensional effect that not only provides excellent visibility but also creates a dynamic look.
Pencil needles are used.
Due to the structure of the dial, it is designed to be long and pointed at the tip, giving it an outstanding sharpness.
Part of the dial has turned white due to aging.
This appears and disappears depending on the angle of the watch, giving it the appearance of a misty night sky, creating a fantastical aspect.
"Seven Stars Deluxe" has a rich range of expressions.
This is a watch that is full of the charm of vintage watches.
The movement is equipped with an automatic winding caliber 5290 with 25 jewels.
This watch is recommended for those who are new to vintage watches, as it features an automatic winding mechanism that boasts high winding efficiency, as well as a highly practical movement with stable operation, calendar function, shock resistance, and water resistance.
Size: height: 41.9mm , width: 40.1mm , thickness: 10.6mm , weight: 73g .
The volume is just right for the average man's wrist.
It goes well with casual clothing such as sweatshirts and shirts, and can also be combined with high-tech material clothing such as tech clothing, so you can enjoy a wide range of coordination.
The condition of the case is good with only minor scratches from use and no noticeable scratches.
Although some parts of the dial are white, this does not affect visibility.
The movement is running smoothly and all functions are without issue.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)
A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
