CITIZEN 79's SEVEN STAR Custom Deluxe Cal.5270
CITIZEN 79's SEVEN STAR Custom Deluxe Cal.5270
Introducing the 1979 Citizen Seven Star Custom Deluxe.
At the time, Citizen released the "Seven Star Deluxe" to compete with the popular Seiko 5 series.
Like the Seiko 5 , it has five functions - automatic winding, date, day of the week, shock resistance, and water resistance - plus two additional features: a manual winding function via the crown and the use of a glass crystal, giving it a total of seven appealing points.
This model was popular among young people because it was available in a variety of designs and had functions that emphasized practicality.
Along with Seiko 5 , the Seven Star Deluxe is a series that can be said to represent domestically produced automatic watches.
The Citizen Seven Star Deluxe Custom we are introducing this time is a later model of the Seven Star series.
The dial is a grey sunburst finish that exudes elegance.
Each of the upright bar indexes is intricately decorated, and only the 12 o'clock position has a different decoration, which shows that it has been made with great care.
The calendar has the date and day of the week located at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions.
This widens your field of view to the left and right, making the dial appear larger.
The case is a tonneau-shaped case made of stainless steel.
The fluted bezel cut into a mountain shape accentuates its presence.
The black inner bezel improves visibility while also creating a three-dimensional effect, giving the dial a sense of depth.
With its rare coloring and intricate decoration, the "Seven Star Deluxe Custom" is a unique car that stands out among the many Seven Stars available.
The movement is equipped with Cal. 5270 , an automatic winding watch with 23 jewels.
In addition to being automatic, it is designed to be practical and easy to wear on an everyday basis, with features such as shock resistance, water resistance, and a calendar function.
It is durable and easy to maintain, making it a recommended movement for those who are handling vintage watches for the first time.
The calendar can be fast-forwarded to the date using the crown, and the days of the week are only displayed in English.
Size: height: 40.8mm , width: 39.3mm , thickness: 10.8mm , weight: 50g .
The design is a little on the larger side, but the thickness is kept to a minimum so it doesn't feel as large as the numbers suggest.
It fits well, so it is also recommended for those with slender wrists.
The condition of the case is good with the edges still intact.
The dial is slightly hazy in some places, but there is no corrosion and visibility is not affected.
The movement is in good working order and all functions operate smoothly.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul it (hereinafter referred to as OH) and deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)
A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul we performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.
When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will properly repair the product, but there will be a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
