Introducing the 1968 Citizen Chronomaster.
In the 1960s, Japanese-made wristwatches competed for the top spot based on "precision itself."
The Chronomaster is Citizen's pinnacle of achievement.
The first model was released in 1967 and was positioned as a mechanical model aiming for precision equivalent to passing the chronometer superiority certification.
Its appeal lies in the fact that it presents dignity not in luxury but in "maintaining accuracy."
The clean, no-date dial and the eagle medallion on the case back convey this philosophy.
■Dial and case design
The Chronomaster is impressive for its neat layout, which is unique to its non-date model.
The silver dial has a tone with a subtle luster and depth, and as it catches the light, the light and dark colors overlap smoothly, creating a high-quality look.
The indexes are three-dimensional bar-type, with sharp edges and dark lines that give the overall look a sharp and refined look.
The hands are straight pencil-style hands, and combined with the layout that makes use of the white space, they provide good visibility.
The eagle mark at 6 o'clock is placed in a modest size, adding to the identity of this model without disrupting the balance of the design.
The case has a simple, sharp design, with a thin bezel and a raised glass crystal creating a distinctive look.
The top of the crystal appears flat, but the edges catch light, overlapping with the mirrored surface of the bezel to create a beautiful outline.
The lugs are based on straight lines, with an uninterrupted flow from the base to the tip, giving the watch a neat profile.
The back cover is mirror-finished with engravings and a golden eagle medallion in the center.
The neatness of the front and the symbolism of the back all come together in one piece.
■ Movement

The movement is equipped with 22 jewels and a hand-wound Cal . 0920.
The simple structure allows the mainspring to be wound by operating the crown, and the unique appeal of a hand-wound watch is that it can be used while manually adjusting its condition daily.
In addition, the use of 22 jewels reduces resistance in the rotating parts, which are prone to wear, and takes stability into consideration for long-term use.
It can be said that this movement's structure properly supports the theme of " precision " that Chronomaster has set forth.
■Styling
Case size: height: 41.6mm , width: 38.8mm , thickness: 10.7mm , weight: 67g .
This is a piece that goes well with suits and jacket styles.
Pair it with a subdued outfit, such as a white shirt or a navy or charcoal set, to create a neat and tidy look for your hands.
For a casual look, we recommend a simple combination like a white T-shirt , navy knit, and dark denim.
It doesn't stand out too much, so it doesn't ruin the overall impression and adds a subtle touch of elegance.
■ Condition
The condition is good with no noticeable damage to the case and the medallion on the back cover is in good condition.
The dial has no noticeable damage or stains and is in excellent condition for visibility.
The movement is running smoothly and can be used without any problems.
It is equipped with a genuine Citizen metal bracelet.

When you purchase a watch, we will ship it to you with a brand new leather strap.
Please select the color you want from the order selection tab and place your order.

We will also include a special case for the watch when shipping.
Please be sure to read the following information after purchasing an antique watch.
When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we have a professional overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) the watch, and then we deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1-2 months.)
Our specialized craftsmen, who are first-class watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine to you, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which will show you what kind of overhaul work was done on the machine, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and serviced.
Of course, since the product itself is a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we have taken this approach so that you can enjoy the watch's inherent performance and use it with peace of mind in the future.
When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop nearby, please feel free to contact us.
