Introducing the 1950s Cyma "Cymaflex."

Cyma is a watch brand with deep ties to Tavannes Watch Co., based in Tavannes, Switzerland.
It developed in the field of practical watches from the late 19th to the early 20th century, producing many timepieces during the transition from pocket watches to wristwatches.

In the 1950s, Cyma developed watches with solid construction and a focus on practicality, and one of its representative mechanisms was the "Cymaflex."
This was Cyma's unique shock-resistant mechanism, a feature typical of practical watches of the time, designed to better withstand everyday impacts.

Rather than a watch that relies on flashy decorations, this piece values legibility, robustness, and ease of use.
It is a model that reflects the careful craftsmanship typical of Swiss watches, all within a calm design characteristic of the 1950s.

■Dial and Case Design

The dial is a silver dial with a pale ivory tint due to aging.
While retaining its brightness, a soft color has been added to the overall appearance, giving it a calm expression typical of a 1950s vintage watch.

The indexes feature Arabic numerals at the 12 o'clock position, combined with three-dimensional applied indexes at other positions.
Based on slender bars, they have a shape close to a trapezoid that slightly widens towards the outer edge, with angled cuts at the tips.

The gold-colored trim catches the light on the pale ivory dial, adding a calm elegance typical of 1950s watches.
Despite its small face, it has a three-dimensional feel, giving the simple dial a moderate depth.

Small dot minute markers on the outer edge ensure good legibility.
The Cyma logo appears below 12 o'clock, and "CYMAFLEX" is inscribed on the 6 o'clock side, subtly conveying its background as a practical watch.

The hands are gold-colored alpha hands, slightly wider.
Their sharp shape, extending from the center to the tip, neatly tightens the softly colored dial.

In addition, the calm luster unique to the gold color creates a refined contrast when combined with the silver-colored case.
Its charm also lies in the fact that it naturally enhances the classical atmosphere without being overly ornate.

The case is a round case with a thin bezel.
The combination of the rounded crystal and clean case lines evokes the classical atmosphere of a 1950s manual-winding watch.

The lugs are slender and elongated, which also makes the overall case appear lighter.
Its small and elegant size makes it fit comfortably on the wrist and can be naturally incorporated into everyday wear.

■Movement

Equipped with Cyma's manual-winding caliber "R.459."
It is a 17-jewel manual-winding movement, a machine that emphasized practicality, typical of Cyma in the 1950s.

With a solid construction adapted to a simple three-hand configuration, you can also enjoy the tactile feel unique to a manual-winding watch that you wind daily.

Furthermore, "CYMAFLEX" inscribed on the dial refers to the shock-resistant mechanism that Cyma adopted to enhance its reliability as a practical watch.
Despite being a small manual-winding watch, it has the charm of being equipped with specifications mindful of daily use.

It is a watch that allows you to easily enjoy the elegant design of the 1950s in your everyday wear.

We will thoroughly overhaul it to an accuracy of approximately ±1 minute per day.
Upon delivery, we will also send our unique OH certificate, which details the work performed during the OH, along with photos of the movement disassembly
