Introducing Doxa in the 1950s .

Doxa was founded in Neuchâtel, Switzerland in 1899 and initially focused on developing pocket watches.
In 1906, an antimagnetic watch exhibited at the Italian Universal Exposition won a gold medal.
Our outstanding technical capabilities are recognized around the world.

From the 1930s to the 1950s , the company focused on developing chronographs.
During World War II, the company supplied many chronograph watches to the British Army.

After the war, the company changed its policy and began producing simple three-hand watches, focusing on the manufacture and sale of affordable watches for the masses.
It is a brand that continues to be loved by many watch fans today.

The "Doxa" we are introducing this time is an impressive watch with a dial that has changed to a beautiful amber color through aging.
It took over 70 years to complete, and its beautiful amber color has an overwhelming presence that is impossible to forget once you have seen it.

Furthermore, the indexes decorating the dial are flying Arabic indexes that give an impressive, powerful, three-dimensional look.
The reason for this distinctive three-dimensional effect is the embossing process that makes parts of the dial stand out.
This technique is extremely time-consuming and costly, so it is no longer used in modern watches.

The embossing gives the entire dial a unified look, further enhancing the heavy feel of Doxa.

" ANTI MAGNETIQUE " printed at the 12 o'clock position refers to watches that are made using magnetic resistant materials for parts that are easily affected by magnetism, such as the pallet stones and balance wheel, and is a cutting-edge technology that enhances practicality.

Even after more than 70 years, Doxa still has the functionality to be used on an everyday basis, yet it also has a heavy, vintage feel to it.

The movement is a hand-wound type.

The movement body is covered by a soft iron case, which serves to protect the body from external dust and other elements, making it highly dust-proof.
The low-beat model's distinctive ticking sound and watch-like tone are very appealing.

Size: height: 42.7mm , width: 37.2mm , thickness: 10.4mm , weight: 35g .

It has a solid volume, but is not too thick, making it comfortable to wear.
This watch has a heavy feel that is unique to vintage watches, so it goes well with traditional styles such as Blu-ray shirts and chinos.

The condition of the case is good with only minor scratches from use and no noticeable scratches or damage.
The dial has some spots and has aged, but there is no sign of corrosion and visibility is not affected.
The movement is running smoothly without any issues.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
