Introducing the 1950s Eterna "Eterna-Matic Birks".
Eterna is a long-established watch manufacturer founded in 1856 in Grenchen, Switzerland.
Having worked on in-house movement development from an early stage, they have brought various technological innovations to the history of watchmaking.
The automatic model "Eterna-Matic," born in 1948, brought the company worldwide fame.
By adopting five ball bearings for the rotor bearing, it reduced friction during rotation and wear on parts.
This revolutionary structure improved both the durability and winding efficiency of the automatic mechanism, and the five ball bearings continue to be used as the Eterna brand logo today.
■ Dial & Case Design
A classic and elegant design combining a deep black dial with gold-colored indices and hands.
Depending on the angle of the light, the fine particles on the surface of the dial shimmer like glitter, giving it a beautiful appearance that evokes stars scattered across the night sky.
The 12 o'clock position features the name of the prestigious Montreal, Canada jeweler "BIRKS".
Below it is a logo modeled after the five ball bearings that symbolize the Eterna-Matic.
It is a rare double-name model featuring the names of two companies with different histories.
Combined with three-dimensional baton indices and sharp dauphine hands, it ensures excellent visibility.
The double index at 12 o'clock and the dotted minute track around the edge of the dial provide a nice accent to the simple face.
The gold-colored round case adopts slender, linear lugs.
The domed crystal and slim case form emphasize the neat, classic atmosphere typical of the 1950s, while the contrast between black and gold adds a calm glamour to the wrist.
■ Movement
Equipped with an automatic movement developed in-house by Eterna.
The rotor rotates in sync with the movement of your arm, automatically winding the mainspring.
The ball-bearing mount, symbolic of the Eterna-Matic, allows for smooth rotor rotation and excellent durability.
The large rotor covering the movement is engraved with the letters "ETERNA-MATIC".
It is a movement where you can feel the high technical capabilities Eterna has cultivated within a design that excels in practicality.

All watches we carry undergo internal inspection by a professional watch technician upon arrival, and are sold only after being verified as authentic, so you can purchase with confidence.
We will provide a brand new leather strap with your watch purchase.

*For products that come with a genuine watch strap or metal band, the leather strap will not be attached but sent separately as a spare.
A dedicated watch case will also be included with your shipment.

At RESUME, we do not hand over antique watches immediately upon order. Instead, we request a professional craftsman to perform an overhaul (hereinafter "OH"), and we ship the item after the OH is complete. (Period: approximately 1–2 months)
A certified first-class watch repair technician will completely disassemble the watch, replace consumable parts such as internal gaskets, clean and oil the mechanism, and perform a thorough overhaul, adjusting the watch to a state where the daily variation is within approximately ±1 minute.
Upon delivery, we will include our store's unique OH certificate, along with photographs taken during the disassembly and maintenance of the movement, detailing the work performed.
While there is no guarantee that the product will never break, as it is a pre-owned item, we have implemented this process so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future. We kindly ask for your understanding.
For purchases, we provide a 1-year warranty period depending on the model. Even after the period has expired, we provide professional repair services for a fee. Please feel free to consult us even if there is no repair shop nearby.
