Introducing the Eterna "Eternamatic" from the 1960s .

Founded in Grenchen, Switzerland in 1856 , Eterna is a long-established brand known for its precision watchmaking and innovative technological development.
When the company was first founded, it began by supplying pocket watch movements, and later expanded into manufacturing its own wristwatches.

The Eterna-matic, released in 1948 , was a revolutionary automatic winding mechanism that used ball bearings on the rotor shaft, dramatically reducing wear and improving winding efficiency.
This innovation influenced many manufacturers later on and laid the foundation for Eterna's name to be etched in the history of Swiss watches.

Eterna is also the parent company of ETA and is known as one of the brands that supported the Swiss watch industry.

An automatic Eterna model manufactured in the 1960s .

The dial has changed to a soft beige tone over the years, giving it an appealing look and depth that is unique to vintage watches.
The dial has evolved through aging, with a natural, slightly uneven tan, giving it a texture that seems to embody the atmosphere of the passage of time.

The indexes are wedge-shaped for a three-dimensional effect, and the hands are sharp dolphin hands.
The neat and highly visible design creates a beautiful balance within the simplicity.

At the 12 o'clock position, Eterna's iconic five "ball bearing" logo and "ETERNA-MATIC" are placed, creating a subtle yet strong presence.

The small stainless steel case has a thin, rounded shape that fits naturally to the wrist.
It combines classic elegance with a friendly atmosphere.

The crown also features Eterna's ball bearing logo, embodying the brand's unique character down to the smallest detail.

The movement is an automatic type.

Uses Eterna's unique ball bearing rotor.
It is well known for its smooth winding and high durability, and continues to operate stably today.
Although it is vintage, its reliability makes it suitable for everyday use.

Dimensions: Height: 41.2mm , Width: 35.1mm , Thickness: 10.1mm , Weight: 38g .

The soft tone created by aging, combined with the small, rounded case design, gives it an elegant appearance that blends naturally with the wrist.

When paired with a jacket, it creates a classic accent, and also goes well with casual outfits such as knitwear and shirts.
This is a piece that can be worn both on and off the job.

The condition of the case is good with only minor scratches from use and no noticeable scratches.
The dial has changed due to aging, but this does not affect visibility.
The movement is running smoothly and can be used without any problems.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we have a professional overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) the watch, and then we deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1-2 months.)

Our specialized craftsmen, who are first-class watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine to you, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which will show you what kind of overhaul work was done on the machine, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and serviced.
