Introducing IWC "Schaffhausen" from the 1960s .

In 1868 , American watchmaker Florence A. Jones founded IWC with the aim of creating more refined watches by combining American manufacturing techniques for mass-producing parts using machines with traditional Swiss craftsmanship.

Combining American technology with Swiss craftsmanship, IWC has grown into a major watch manufacturer, producing a number of famous models, including the company's signature movement, the Pellaton automatic winding.

The philosophy that was established at the time of the company's founding is still carried on to this day, and the company continues to produce watches that combine technology and advanced technology.

IWC Schaffhausen with its striking black dial.
White dials are common for Schaffhausen watches, and the black model, which is rare in number, is a rare find .

The matte black dial does not reflect light, so the black color is emphasized more than other black model watches.
The pet's name written in white stands out in the air, and the well-defined, dignified expression is sure to catch your eye.

The index uses an unusual bullet-shaped index.
Although it is small, the silver reflects light strongly, adding a touch of glamour to the dial.

The needle is a dolphin needle with a mountain-shaped cut.
The hands are deliberately placed thick to create a powerful design.

"Schaffhausen" is a simple watch, but the overwhelming presence of its dial makes it an attractive choice.

The movement is equipped with an automatic winding Cal. 853 with 21 jewels.

It uses the Pellaton automatic winding system, developed exclusively by IWC , which allows the mainspring to be wound with minimal wrist movement, preventing the watch from stopping due to insufficient winding.
This is a superior movement with stable operation and excellent precision.

Size: height: 42.5mm , width: 37.4mm , thickness: 11.8mm , weight: 40g .

The size is just right for an average man's wrist.
The simple design with black accents goes well with casual styles, and it will make a strong statement when paired with a shirt, knitwear, jacket, or even a T- shirt.

The case is in good condition with no noticeable scratches.
The dial is in beautiful condition with no signs of wear or dirt.
The movement is also running smoothly and there are no particular issues.
It is equipped with a rare "fish crown".

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.

When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
