MIDO 40's MULTIFORT Cal.816
MIDO 40's MULTIFORT Cal.816
Introducing Mido's ``Multifort'' from the 1940s .
Mido was founded in 1918 under the brand slogan "Being timeless. That is the mark of truly excellent design."
Since our founding, we have continued to create watches that combine timeless and unique design with functionality, and have continued to create automatic watches for over 100 years.
In the past, there was also a collaboration watch with "Hermes", and the brand name was added to the "Multifort" introduced this time, and it was sold with a Hermes leather belt attached.
This brand is highly acclaimed worldwide for both the functionality and design of its watches.
The Multifort we are introducing this time is a popular model as an early self-winding watch that uses a half rotor in addition to water resistance, shock resistance, and magnetic functions.
The dial has a unique lustrous silver dial with Arabic indexes printed on it.
Like the indexes, the pencil hands are also black, so the contrasting coloring provides excellent visibility.
The small seconds hand at 6 o'clock is engraved with fine circular lines that reflect light radially, making it easy to read.
The simple coloring gives the dial a sense of depth.
Although the case is small, the chubby thickness and polygonal cut of the case give it a unique presence, and it is designed so that you can tell at a glance that it is a Mido watch.
This is a watch that perfectly combines unique design and functionality.
The movement is equipped with Cal.816 , a self-winding type using 17 jewels.
It is a half-rotator, and when the rotor rotates about half way, it hits the bumper and gives a "knock-knock" sensation.
Although the winding efficiency is lower than that of a full-rotation type, it is still a movement that many enthusiasts enjoy even today, as they enjoy the feeling of the watch moving.
Size: Height: 35mm , Width: 30.9mm , Atsumi: 11.9mm , Weight: 30g .
Although it is a small size, it is a model made as a men's model at the time.
When you actually wear it, it has a characteristic thickness, and you won't feel like it's lacking in volume when you wear it.
The classic design allows you to match it with casual clothing such as coat style or shirt style.
The size is suitable for women, so it is recommended for both men and women.
Condition: The case has some small scratches due to use, but the edges remain solid.
There is a needle scratch mark in the center of the dial, but there are no other noticeable scratches and there is no problem with visibility.
The movement is working fine.
