OMEGA 50's Seamaster HALF ROTOR / Cal.351
OMEGA 50's Seamaster HALF ROTOR / Cal.351
Introducing the Omega Seamaster Half Rotor from the 1950s .
Cal. 351 is Omega's early automatic movement, known as a half-rotor.
A half-rotor winds the mainspring by rotating 3/4 of a turn, rather than the full 360- degree rotation found in current rotors.
As the rotor rotates, a spring is installed on the opposite side as a shock absorbing device, and when the rotor and spring collide, a characteristic "clack" sound is heard and an impact is transmitted.
For this reason, half rotors are also called "bumper type."
When considering the efficiency of winding the mainspring, the fully rotating type is superior, but when you move your arm while wearing the watch, you can feel a clicking sound and it is fun to know that the movement is working, so this movement is still highly popular among many watch enthusiasts.
Over the course of more than 70 years, the dial has evolved into a distinctive and beautiful beige color.
The wedge-shaped indexes were a detail unique to the 1950s .
The Omega Seamaster Half Rotor has a very attractive classical look.
The dial is not only characterized by its aging, but also by its domed shape.
This is called a "bomb dial" and is a detail seen in the 1950s , just like the index.
The soft bulge of the dial gives it a three-dimensional look, further emphasizing the beauty of the upright OMEGA logo at 12 o'clock and the wedge indexes.
The index is a special combination of a wedge shape and flying Arabic.
The combination of the unique roundness and gold color of the wedge, which gives it an air of elegance, and the somewhat comical Arabic numerals, creates an overall well-balanced look that is easy to read.
The Seamaster Half Rotor is a seamless blend of elegance and casualness.
This watch has a gentle look that is unique to the 1950s and will never cease to captivate anyone who sees it.
The movement is equipped with Cal.351 , a 17- jewel automatic winding watch.
The 350 series is a movement that has been changed to a center second system in which the second hand is mounted in the center.
Although it is compact with a diameter of 26.50 mm , it also has excellent precision, and the later Cal. 352 is used in the higher-end Constellation model, which shows the quality of its basic design.
Size: height: 42.3mm , width: 37.1mm , thickness: 10mm , weight: 39g .
Perfect size for a man with a 17cm wrist.
The three-dimensional design means that although it is simple, it still has a strong presence when worn.
The unique design goes well with business items such as suits and jackets, as well as casual items such as shirts and leather jackets, and it also looks interesting when paired with duck fabric outerwear such as hunting jackets.
This is a piece that can be easily incorporated into a wide range of outfits.
The condition is good, with some small scratches on the case, but no major damage such as chips.
The dial has only aged, with no corrosion or chipping and good visibility.
The movement is running smoothly.
Comes with an original RESUME belt.

When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
