Introducing the 1959 Omega "Constellation".

The "Constellation" is Omega's flagship line, born in 1952, and is known as a chronometer series that constantly pursues the highest precision.

As its name, meaning "constellation," suggests, the star on the dial and the observatory medallion on the case back symbolize its status, and it has been highly regarded as Omega's representative dress watch since its birth.

■ Dial/Case Design

This Constellation features a dial that has aged to a soft ivory tone, showcasing the calm expression unique to a piece that has endured for many years.

The dial combines chamfered applied bar indexes with a three-dimensional Omega logo at 12 o'clock and sharp dauphine hands, exuding a strong sense of dignity within its simple composition.

The "Constellation" inscription in cursive and a star mark are placed at 6 o'clock.
It naturally creates the impression of high quality characteristic of this model, without relying on excessive ornamentation.

Furthermore, a charming feature of this particular piece is the presence of cross-hairs on the dial.
The delicate vertical and horizontal lines balance the entire dial and offer excellent legibility, making it easy to discern the relative positions of each index.
Constellation models with cross-hairs are limited in number, adding a subtle touch of individuality to this model.

The case features a clean round form as its base, with lugs that extend sharply to the tips, creating an impressive design.

The bezel is slender, making the dial look neat and giving the whole watch an elegant and refined impression.
The lines connecting the side of the case to the lugs are also smooth, emphasizing a smart silhouette.

The case back features the observatory medallion, a symbol of the Constellation.
Even unseen, the charm characteristic of this model is firmly present.

■Movement

The movement is the Cal.561, an automatic movement with 24 jewels.

The Cal.561 is one of Omega's automatic chronometer movements, developed for high precision at the time. It features 24 jewels, a frequency of 19,800 vibrations per hour, and stable winding efficiency through bidirectional winding.

It is a machine that supported the high precision and practicality suitable for the Constellation, and it is an indispensable existence when discussing the perfection of Omega's automatic movements. Within its understated exterior, Omega's reliable technical prowess of the era is firmly alive.

■Styling

Case size: 42.8mm (length), 36.3mm (width), 11mm (thickness), Weight: 71g.

Due to its refined design that isn't overly assertive, it naturally blends well not only with neat outfits like jackets and shirts, but also with soft-textured items like knits and cardigans.

The cross-hair dial and sharp case design add a moderate tension, making it a piece that elegantly enhances your wrist even with simple attire.

■Condition

The case is in good condition with no noticeable scratches.
Although the dial has changed due to aging, there are no problems with legibility.
The movement is operating smoothly, and there are no problems with its use.

It is fitted with an original Omega rice bracelet.

● Important information after purchasing an antique watch, please read carefully ●

At RESUME, when selling antique watches, we do not hand them over immediately after you place an order.
Instead, we request an overhaul (hereinafter OH) from a specialized craftsman, and deliver the watch after the OH is completed. (This usually takes about 1-2 months.)

A specialized craftsman, certified as a Class 1 watch repair technician, will completely disassemble the watch, replace consumable parts such as internal gaskets, clean, lubricate, and perform a thorough OH.
The watch will be adjusted to within a daily rate of ±1 minute.
Additionally, upon delivery, we will send our unique OH certificate explaining the work performed during the OH, along with photos of the movement's disassembly and maintenance.

While the product itself is a used item and there is no absolute guarantee that it will never break, we take these measures to ensure that you can enjoy the watch's original performance and use it with peace of mind.

When purchasing a product, a 1-year warranty period is provided depending on the model. Even after the period has expired, repairs are available for a fee.
Please feel free to contact us even if you do not have a repair shop nearby.
