OMEGA 60's Constellation
OMEGA 60's Constellation
Constellation means "constellation" in English.
As the name suggests, the back of the watch is inlaid with a star symbol and a medallion reminiscent of an observatory and constellations.
The reason why it was chosen as an observatory is that competitions to judge the accuracy of watches were held at observatories, and observatories were positioned as a symbol of high precision.
The Constellation is one of Omega's most highly accurate models, and to emphasize its high precision, a relief of an observatory is placed on the back of the watch.
In fact, in 1983, Omega (Constellation) was so successful that it accounted for 45 % of all chronometer certificates issued.
This is a wonderful watch that deserves to be one of the most representative models of Omega watches.
The Omega Constellation we are introducing this time is a very rare model with a one-piece case.
Since the one-piece case does not have a back cover, it boasts even greater airtightness and water resistance than waterproof models with screw backs.
The case design is also unique, with the lugs being shorter than other Constellations, giving it a casual look.
The dial is a silver sunburst finish with an elegant luster.
The indexes are trapezoidal upright indexes with black centers, and the hands are gold dolphin hands, just like the indexes.
The dolphin hands are intentionally made wide to emphasize the surface and create a powerful design.
Below the Omega logo at 12 o'clock are the words "Certified Chronometer," which certifies the watch's high precision.
And at the 6 o'clock position, the star mark, the symbol of Constellation, shines brilliantly.
Constellation is a beautiful watch whose elegance and high artistry continue to fascinate many watch enthusiasts.
Size: height: 38.5mm , width: 36.4mm , thickness: 10.6mm , weight: 39g .
The Constellation is compact and thin, making it comfortable to wear and reducing fatigue even when worn for long periods of time.
The gold used for the case changes to a more yellowish gold over time.
It blends in very well with the skin when worn and doesn't have any of the gaudy feel that is typical of gold.
The beautiful colors will brighten up your wrist when paired with dark colors such as black or navy.
The case is in good condition with no noticeable scratches and no fading or peeling of the gold.
The dial is in beautiful condition with no signs of corrosion or wear.
The movement is in good working order and the calendar function works smoothly.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul it (hereinafter referred to as OH) and deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)
A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.
When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
