Introducing the 1968 Omega "De Ville."
The "De Ville" was originally a spin-off model of the Seamaster, which later evolved into an independent line of more dressy and sophisticated collections.
While the Seamaster emphasized practicality, the De Ville was developed as a more elegant model with a slim case design and a well-balanced dial configuration.
This particular model embodies the elegant design characteristic of De Ville, scaled down to a ladies' size.
■ Dial and Case Design
The dial is silver.
The entire dial features a fine vertical hairline finish.
Rather than a strong gloss finish, the fine lines give the silver dial a subdued texture, adding a sense of depth even to a small dial.
The Omega applied logo and "OMEGA" inscription are positioned at 12 o'clock, and "DE VILLE" is at 6 o'clock.
The dial is well-balanced, arranging the essential elements harmoniously.
The indices are gold-colored applied bar indices.
The slender indices do not interfere with the vertical hairline finish, giving the entire dial a calm impression.
The hands are black pencil hands.
The black hands stand out nicely against the silver dial, ensuring good readability for a ladies' watch.
The case is a rounded gold-colored case.
Combined with a cut-glass crystal, it presents an elegant appearance when viewed from the front.
The lugs feature three-dimensional embellishments, creating a design that flows naturally from the watch body to the metal bracelet.
■ Movement
The movement is Omega's manual-winding Cal.484.
It is a small manual-winding movement designed for ladies' watches, and despite its compact size, it exhibits Omega's meticulous craftsmanship.
As it is a hand-wound watch that requires winding the crown, the tactile experience unique to mechanical watches is another appealing aspect for daily use.
■ Styling
Case size: Length 24mm (including lugs) / Width 18.7mm (including crown) / Thickness 7.3mm / Weight 20g
The gold-colored exterior makes it easy to incorporate as an accessory and blends naturally with formal attire.
Paired with a blouse or dress, the cut-glass crystal and decorative metal bracelet add a touch of elegance to the wrist.
For a casual look, subtly incorporating it with a knit sweater or shirt style is also recommended.
It is a watch that is not overly assertive, blends naturally with everyday outfits, and provides a sophisticated accent characteristic of vintage watches.
■ Condition
Regarding the condition, there are no noticeable scratches or significant damage, and it remains in good condition considering its age.
The case, crystal, and metal bracelet are also free from damage that would detract from the overall appearance, allowing you to enjoy the calm presence characteristic of a vintage watch.
The movement is currently running without problems.
To ensure you can use it with peace of mind after purchase, we will perform maintenance at our store before delivery.

● Important Notice Regarding Antique Watch Purchases. Please read carefully. ●
At RESUME, when selling antique watches, we do not deliver them immediately after an order is placed.
Instead, we request a full overhaul (OH) by a specialized craftsman, and delivery will be made after the OH is completed (this takes approximately 1-2 months).
A specialized craftsman, certified as a Class 1 watch repair technician, will completely disassemble the watch, replace consumable parts such as internal gaskets, clean, and lubricate.
The watch will be thoroughly overhauled and adjusted to a daily rate of approximately ±1 minute.
Furthermore, when delivered, we will include our unique OH certificate and photos of the movement during disassembly and maintenance, detailing the work performed during the OH.
Of course, due to the nature of used products, there is no guarantee that the watch will never break. However, to ensure that you can enjoy the watch's original performance and use it with peace of mind in the future, we have adopted this approach. We appreciate your understanding.
A 1-year warranty period is provided for product purchases, depending on the model. Even after the warranty period expires, we offer repair services for a fee.
Please feel free to contact us if you do not have a repair shop nearby.
