Introducing the 1968 Omega "Seamaster".

The Omega "Seamaster" was born in 1948, marking the 100th anniversary of the brand's founding.
Inheriting the technology developed in the manufacture of military watches, it was introduced as a watch with water resistance and reliability.

In 1957, the professional diver's watch "Seamaster 300" was introduced, but the Seamaster was not limited to diver's watches; in the 1960s, a wide range of models were also produced for everyday use and as dress watches.
This 1968 model is a Seamaster from an era when such a diverse range of models was offered.

■Dial and Case Design

The silver dial features a vertical hairline finish.
The fine lines stand out in the light, and the brightness changes as you change the angle of the watch.
The dial is a gently rounded bombe dial from the center to the outer edge.
This curve changes the reflection of light, giving the silver dial a soft expression.

The three-dimensional bar indices feature a black line in the center, tightening the dial along with the slim minute track.
The hands also feature a black line, making it easier to read the time on the bright dial.
The date display at the 3 o'clock position is set in a window with a border, adding a focal point to the neat dial.

The case is a rounded round shape, and the bezel is kept to a modest width.
The expanse of the dial and the curve of the bombe dial are clearly visible from the front.
The lugs, which taper toward the ends, have angled surfaces that stand out in the light.
The center of the case back features a seahorse and the engraving "SEAMASTER WATERPROOF", allowing you to enjoy a Seamaster design that differs from the front.

■Movement

The Cal.565 installed is an Omega automatic movement with 24 jewels.
It keeps time at 19,800 vibrations per hour and features a date display and a mechanism that allows you to advance the date with the crown.

In the photo, you can see the "OMEGA WATCH CO SWISS" engraving on the rotor and the "TWENTY FOUR JEWELS" engraving on the movement bridge.
You can also see the automatic mechanism, where the rotor rotates with the movement of the arm to wind the mainspring.

■Styling

The case size is 40.3mm in height (including lugs) / 36.9mm in width (including crown) / 10.8mm in thickness / 39g in weight (including strap)

Paired with a black leather strap, when combined with a navy or charcoal gray jacket and a white shirt, the silver dial adds brightness to your wrist.
The black lines on the dial connect with the color of the strap, creating a cohesive overall look.

On weekends, when paired with a finely woven knit or cardigan and slacks, it creates an outfit that is not too formal while making the most of the watch's neat atmosphere.

■Condition

Small scratches from use are visible on the case, but there is no noticeable damage.
The dial is in good condition with no corrosion or wear, and visibility is good.
The movement is operating smoothly.

●Please be sure to check the contents of the guide after purchasing an antique watch●

At RESUME, when selling antique watches, we do not hand them over immediately upon your order,
but instead request a professional to perform an overhaul (hereinafter OH), and deliver them after the OH is completed. (The period is approximately 1–2 months)

A professional craftsman with a first-class watch repair technician qualification will completely disassemble the watch, replace consumable parts such as internal gaskets, clean, oil, and perform a thorough OH,
adjusting it to a state of approximately ±1 minute per day.
Also, at the time of delivery, we will send our store's unique OH certificate, as well as photos of the disassembly
and maintenance of the mechanism.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being used, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we provide this level of service so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch
and use it with peace of mind in the future, so please understand.

At the time of purchase, we offer a 1-year warranty period depending on the model. Even for products past the period, although it is for a fee,
we will properly accept repair services. Even if you do not have a repair shop nearby, please feel free to consult us.
