OMEGA 69's Constellation / Cal.1001
OMEGA 69's Constellation / Cal.1001
Introducing the 1969 Omega Constellation.
Constellation means "constellation" in English.
As the name suggests, the back of the watch is inlaid with a star symbol and a medallion reminiscent of an observatory and constellations.
The reason why it was chosen as an observatory is that competitions to judge the accuracy of watches were held at observatories, and observatories were positioned as a symbol of high precision.
In 1983 , Omega (Constellation) was so successful that it accounted for 45 % of all chronometer certificates issued.
This is one of Omega's most iconic watches.
The Omega Constellation comes in a simple round case.
Compared to the C -line case released in the same era, it has a more casual look.
The dial is a silver dial with a heavy, dull luster.
The hands are black pencil hands, and the indexes are upright bar indexes.
Below the " OMEGA " logo at the 6 o'clock position is the word " CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED ," which certifies that Constellation has high precision.
The dial configuration is highly visible, and the chronometer numerals are designed to stand out clearly.
The plastic windshield is made from a precious genuine OMEGA windshield.
The Omega logo is engraved directly onto the crystal, just above where the hands are attached.
This is a simple and easy-to-use constellation.
The movement is equipped with the automatic winding Cal.1001 .
Red gold plating, a characteristic of Omega movements.
It is equipped with a calendar function, and the date can be fast-forwarded by operating the crown.
It also has a hack function that stops the second hand when you pull the crown.
This is a highly practical movement that is easy to use even for those who are new to vintage watches.
Size: height: 39.1mm , width: 35.4mm , thickness: 9.5mm , weight: 39g .
The size is slightly smaller, so it is easy to wear for people with thin wrists and women.
Although the design is simple and casual, it also has the elegance that is unique to Constellation, so it can be incorporated into a wide range of outfits, including suits and jackets, as well as shirts, denim jackets, and leather items.
The case is in good condition with no noticeable scratches.
The dial is in good condition with no signs of wear or corrosion.
The movement is also free of rust and works without any problems.
The calendar function also works smoothly.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)
A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.
When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
