OMEGA ~69's Speed master MARK II Cal.861~
Introducing the Omega Speedmaster Mark II Cal.861 made in 1969 .
In 1969 , the Speedmaster has a very famous story as the watch that accompanied the first human landing on the moon.
Assuming use in space, a land unexplored by mankind, the specs required by NASA were high, and Omega's Speedmaster was the only watch among several companies that passed the test.
After landing on the moon in 1969 , the Apollo 13 in 1970 had all the electrical systems inside the spacecraft malfunction when it reentered the atmosphere. It has established itself as a "Moonwatch" because it played a major role.
In fact, it is used not only in space but also in Arctic and Antarctic expeditions, proving its overwhelming performance even in various harsh environments.
The Speedmaster introduced this time is a model called Mark II .
It has fewer edges and, when viewed from the front, has a rounded, barrel-like shape, with integrated lugs for attaching the belt to the case.
Since the tachymeter is printed directly on the glass instead of the bezel, it is stored inside the case and has an organic design.
Looking at the dial, you can see the central chronograph second hand, the second hand, the third chronograph with a 30 -minute counter and a 12- hour counter.
The phosphorescent paint has also faded nicely and blends in better with the overall dial.
Although the chronograph has a lot of information, it is highly visible and easy to distinguish thanks to the well-thought-out placement and color scheme.
The streamlined body with as few irregularities as possible gives a sophisticated and sporty feel.
The installed movement is Cal.861 . 17 stone manual winding.
It is located in the second generation caliber in the Speedmaster series, and has succeeded in improving accuracy by increasing the frequency compared to the first generation.
It has a beautiful red machine, and the structure is three-dimensional and complicated, so it's fun just to look at the machine.
This caliber also has a history of being used in space and on the moon.
The size is 45mm long, 44mm wide and 14.5mm thick. Because it is a large size, there is enough volume.
There are small scratches on the case, etc., but the movement is in good condition, and the glass windshield is replaced with a new one during initial maintenance.
An original bracelet is also included.
The sporty design of the Mark II goes well with casual styles, and it also goes well with shirts, T- shirts, and military styles.
The Mark II , which has an overwhelming presence, is one that will satisfy your desire to own it.
