Introducing the Omega Seamaster, made in 1958 .
OMEGA's signature collection, the Seamaster, was launched in 1948 .
Its origins lie in the waterproof watches supplied to the British military during World War II, and this model sublimates the reliable technology cultivated through military use into a more elegant form suitable for everyday use.
When the Seamaster was first released, it was introduced as "the world's first automatic watch with a waterproof case structure."
The concept is "in the city, by the sea, in the suburbs."
It has gained the trust of many people as a waterproof dress watch that can be used in any situation.
It has been a beloved long-selling collection that has continued to evolve since its initial release.
An early Seamaster manufactured in 1958 .
This particular example is a rare one equipped with the hand-wound Cal. 420 .
There are many watches from the same era that are equipped with automatic movements, but the production numbers of those equipped with Cal. 420 are low, and one of their attractions is the sleek case lines created by their slim design, as well as the direct feel of winding the mainspring.
The first thing that catches your eye on the dial is the two-tone dial that skillfully uses different silver tones.
The center part has a slightly rough matte texture and a subtle yet deep luster.
In contrast, the outer periphery has a smooth, glossy finish, allowing light to flow through beautifully.
The charm of Omega from this era is that the same silver has different textures.
The indexes are arrow-shaped applied indexes and the hands are dolphin hands, giving the watch a simple yet striking presence.
Omega's commitment to quality is evident in the meticulous details.
This Seamaster, which combines quiet brilliance with reliable precision, is a truly historic watch that conveys the technology and aesthetic sense that OMEGA was proud of in the 1950s .
The movement is a 17- jewel hand-wound Cal. 420 .
This is a rare movement that was produced for only about three years and is a miniaturized version of Omega's famous hand-wound 30mm caliber.
This is a superb movement that not only boasts high precision, but also pursues the beauty of the machine, including its beautiful red mechanism and sunburst finish on the gears.
Case size: height: 41.7mm , width: 36.2mm , thickness: 10mm , weight: 37g .
With its classic and elegant appearance, this Seamaster adds a subtle touch of elegance to your everyday style.
It blends naturally with formal styles such as jackets and suits, creating a quiet presence at the sleeves.
It also blends seamlessly with casual outfits such as denim and chinos, adding a touch of vintage depth to your everyday look.
Condition: The case has no noticeable scratches or damage.
The dial is in excellent condition, preserving the original beauty of the time.
The movement is running smoothly and there are no problems with use.
