RADO 60's / Purple Horse / Cal.2369

Introducing the 1960s Rado "Purple Horse".

Rado has its roots in Schlup & Co., founded in Lengnau, Switzerland, in 1917.
From the late 1950s, Rado began to fully develop its own brand, creating numerous watches that combined unique design with practicality.

One of the early representative series was the "Horse" collection, named after horses.
The "Purple Horse," developed alongside the Green Horse and Golden Horse, is a model that embodies Rado's distinctive character and playfulness of the time.

■Dial and Case Design

The silver-toned dial features a sunray finish that shows delicate changes in expression depending on the angle of light.

It features a neat design with three-dimensional bar indexes combined with sharp dolphin hands.
At the 12 o'clock position is Rado's iconic rotating anchor mark.

At the 3 o'clock position, there is a red date display, and the "Purple Horse" logo is placed slightly to the right.
The asymmetrical yet well-balanced layout shows the playfulness characteristic of the 1960s.

The case features a fluted bezel with fine engravings.
Despite its small ladies' size, it reflects light finely, creating a subtle presence.

The tall domed plastic crystal, sharply extending lugs, and intricate details such as the crown with the "R" engraving and the case back with a seahorse motif, all embody the vintage Rado aesthetic.

■Movement

It is equipped with the ETA automatic movement "Cal.2369".

Despite its small diameter of approximately 17.5mm, it is a 25-jewel movement with an automatic winding mechanism, central seconds, and a date display.
It is designed with a low beat rate of 18,000 vibrations per hour and has a power reserve of approximately 38 hours.

A notable feature of this particular model is the "RADO" and "25 JEWELS" engravings on the rotor, indicating a brand-specific finish.

It is a movement that allows you to enjoy the mechanical appeal of Swiss watches of that era, housing automatic winding and calendar mechanisms within a small ladies' case.

■Styling

Case size: 28mm vertical (including lugs) / 23.6mm horizontal (including crown) / 11mm thickness / 21g weight (including strap)

The combination of a small case size and a silver dial makes this watch easy to incorporate into any outfit.

■Condition

All watches handled by us are internally inspected by a professional watch repair technician upon arrival, and only after being confirmed as genuine are they put up for sale, so you can use our services with confidence.

When purchasing a watch, we will attach a new leather strap and deliver it to you.

●Important information after purchasing an antique watch, please read carefully●

At RESUME, when selling antique watches, we do not deliver them immediately after receiving your order. Instead, we request an overhaul (hereinafter "OH") from a specialized craftsman and deliver the watch after the OH is completed. (This process takes approximately 1-2 months).

A specialized craftsman with a Grade 1 watch repair technician qualification will completely disassemble the watch, replace consumable parts such as internal gaskets, clean, and lubricate it. The watch will be thoroughly overhauled and serviced to a daily rate of approximately ±1 minute.
When delivered, we will also send our unique OH certificate, which explains the work performed during the OH, along with photos of the movement disassembly and maintenance.

Of course, due to the nature of the product being used, there is no guarantee that it will never break. However, we take these measures to allow you to enjoy the original performance of the watch and to ensure its reliable use in the future. We appreciate your understanding.

When purchasing a product, a 1-year warranty period is provided depending on the model. Even for products outside the warranty period, we accept repair requests, though a fee will apply.
