Introducing the Rado Diamond Star from the 1970s .
The "Diamond Star", released in 1962 , was the world's first ultra-hard case model made of tungsten carbide.
Tungsten carbide is much harder than stainless steel and is highly scratch-resistant, meaning it is less likely to be scratched even by minor impacts.
With the processing technology at the time, it was difficult to reproduce sharp lines and edges, so no one was interested in it as a material for watches.
However, Rado noticed this and released the Diamond Star, which features a distinctive oval bezel made from this material.
In addition to using new materials, the world was astonished by its unprecedented, cutting-edge design, and Diamond Star became an instant hit.
In contrast to the case that shines brilliantly like a jewel, the Diastar has a subdued, heavy black dial.
The ultra-hard case made of tungsten carbide remains scratch-resistant even after more than 50 years.
The design is also distinctive, with its cute, round egg-shaped form covering the strap connection area, eliminating the seam between the watch and the strap, highlighting the beautiful oval shape.
The unique case design will catch the eye of everyone who sees it.
Sapphire crystal glass is used for the windshield.
Sapphire crystal glass is not only highly transparent, but is also made of the same scratch-resistant material as the case.
The glass has fine vertical cuts, and when light hits it it gives off a beautiful, sparkling luster reminiscent of a chandelier.
The dial design is also distinctive, with the calendar, which is usually located at 3 o'clock, placed at 6 o'clock.
Instead, the pet's name is printed at the 3 o'clock position and the Rado logo is printed at the 9 o'clock position.
At the 12 o'clock position is Rado's iconic anchor logo against a red background.
A diamond star with a beautiful contrast between black and silver.
The brilliance that captivated the world continues to fascinate many people even today, more than 50 years later.

When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
