Introducing Seikosha's "Precision" in the 1940s .

After World War II, during the period of post-war turmoil, Seiko set up its watch production facilities, and in 1946 began producing the "New Type 10A " movement at the Daini Seikosha Suwa Factory.

This movement is more like a pocket watch than a wristwatch, and its overall structure is similar to that of a pocket watch.

It was nicknamed the "banana-shaped" because the shape of the bridge resembled a banana, and it was produced as Seiko's main movement during the post-war recovery period.

The Seikosha "Precision" we are introducing this time is a watch with the logo name " SEIKOSHA " printed on it, before the company changed its name to the current " SEIKO ".

The dial has a so-called bull's eye design, which was originally designed to improve the visibility of the luminous paint, but thanks to the two-tone black and gold color scheme, it gives the watch a solid feel similar to that of a military watch.

Not only does it look good, but the index uses Arabic numerals, and the large case size makes it easy to read, making it a highly practical design.

The case is plated with 30 micron gold, but over 70 years, it has changed to a bronze color that resembles brass.

The synergistic effect with the aging of the dial has evolved into a watch with a very bitter taste.

The movement is equipped with a hand-wound "new 10A type".

Since the movement is nearly 80 years old, there are very few examples left in working condition, making it an extremely rare movement.

Size: Height: 42.6mm , Width: 36mm , Thickness: 10mm , Weight: 26g .

The size makes it easy for any man to wear.

It has a calm and classic atmosphere, but it also has the solid feel of a military watch, so depending on the strap, it is easy to incorporate into a wide range of styles from formal to casual.

The case and dial have aged well, but there are no problems with visibility or wearability.

The movement is currently operating without any problems, and with regular maintenance, it will be in good condition for continued use in the future.
