SEIKO 60's Sportsmatic Silver Wave Cal.2451
SEIKO 60's Sportsmatic Silver Wave Cal.2451
Introducing the Seiko "Sportsmatic Silver Wave" in the 1960s .
The Sportsmatic Silver Wave was launched in 1964 as a popular model.
Because the basic caliber was 6601B , it is also called the 66 Silver Wave.
As stated on the dial, it is water resistant to 30m , and uses a strong crimp type back cover to boast high waterproof performance.
This is the first Seiko watch to be equipped with a rotating inner bezel, and the bezel can be operated with the crown at 4 o'clock.
Although it is a popular model, it is classified as a special watch among the many Seiko models, and due to the short production period of 3 years from 1964 to 1966 , there are only a few in existence, making it a highly rare watch.
The "Sportmatic Silver Wave" we are introducing this time is one that has a vintage watch feel due to the aging of the dial.
The disc, which was originally silver, is completely discolored and has turned an uneven pale beige color.
Next, when looking at the case, the bezel is stored inside the case, which emphasizes the lines of the case, giving it a clean and smart impression.
The indexes are bar indexes, which are often seen on dress watches, and the hands are dolphin hands.
It does not have the rugged impression that sports models have, and by actively removing unnecessary unevenness, it has high specs that can be used in outdoor situations, but it also has an elegance that does not look out of place even when paired with a jacket. It's a certain clock.
The movement is equipped with Cal.2451 , an automatic model with 17 jewels.
The movement has a simple structure typical of Seiko, making it highly durable and easy to maintain.
It is a highly practical and easy-to-handle movement that is easy to use on a daily basis.
Size: Height: 43.7mm , Width: 37.6mm , Thickness: 11.4mm .
Although it is a sports model, it has a very calm impression due to its design and aging.
This item can be easily incorporated into a wide range of styles, such as sports fashion such as nylon jackets, as well as casual jackets.
The condition is that the engraving on the back cover has worn off and disappeared, but there is no problem with using it.
The case has only minor scratches, and there are no noticeable scratches.
Although the dial has aged, there is no problem with visibility.
The movement is in good working order and is working without any problems.
You can also operate the bezel smoothly.
*The clasp part of the belt is genuine Seiko, but the belt part is an aftermarket product.
