Introducing the Seiko "Sportmatic" made in 1961 .

Production of the "Sportmatic" began in 1963 and is the model that became the roots of the current Seiko 5 .

By revising the design of the movement and integrating the part that supports the parts, called the "receiving plate," they have succeeded in shortening assembly time and simplifying the structure compared to previous models.

By significantly increasing production volume and reducing production costs, we can achieve excellent cost performance.

Although it is a full-fledged automatic model equipped with Seiko's unique automatic winding mechanism "Magic Lever," it has become popular due to its high cost performance, and various models have been created with changing variations.

The Seiko "Sportmatic" we are introducing this time is a watch with an impressive two-tone dark silver and blue-gray dial.
There are many white dials, but a Sportsmatic with a colored dial like this is rare.

Each part of the dial has a different finish, such as sunrays, engravings, and hairlines, and each part shines differently when exposed to light.
Therefore, although at first glance the design appears simple, the dial's diverse expressions when exposed to light are extremely fascinating.

The case is a round case made of stainless steel.
The crown at the 4 o'clock position is stored inside the case, improving the fit and emphasizing the beautiful, balanced form of the design.

The Sportmatic is practical and simple, yet has a strong presence.
This is a watch with a design that truly embodies the essence of Seiko.

The movement is a 17 jewel automatic, Cal.245 .

Uses Seiko's unique automatic winding mechanism, the Magic Lever.
In addition, the use of ball bearings within the movement ensures smooth operation and ensures reliable winding with less wrist movement.
This movement is packed with Seiko's advanced technology.

Size: height: 42.1mm , width: 35.3mm , thickness: 10.3mm , weight: 37g .

In addition to its small size, the crown is stored inside the case, giving it a sleek silhouette.
It is also lightweight and comfortable to wear, so it can be worn without any problems by people with thin wrists or women.

This time, we also have the Sportmatic in stock in the same color scheme, so you can use them as a pair.

The case is in good condition with no noticeable scratches.
The dial is in beautiful condition with no corrosion or stains.
The movement is working without any problems.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
