SEIKO 62's Seiko matic / Cal.630
SEIKO 62's Seiko matic / Cal.630
The Seiko "Seikomatic" we are introducing this time is a dead stock solid model that comes with the original box and specifications!
The "Seikomatic" is a model made as a thin luxury automatic watch from 1960 to 1967 , and although it is equipped with an automatic winding mechanism, it is designed to be as thin as a hand-wound model.
A notable feature of the Seikomatic is the use of ultra-compact ruby ball bearings as a new idea for the automatic winding mechanism.
The polished ruby ball has low friction and moves smoothly, so even the slightest movement of your arm will wind the mainspring securely.
Based on the Seiko Matic movement, it evolved into the Matic series that followed, as well as Grand Seiko's automatic winding models.
The "Seikomatic" we will be introducing this time is in beautiful condition, making it look like new, making it hard to believe that it was made in 1962.
When you look at the dial, you will see a "top mark" printed at the 12 o'clock position to prove that it is automatic winding, and an " SD dial" printed at the 6 o'clock position.
The " SD dial" was attached to Seiko's high-end machines at the time, and the indexes were made of solid 14- karat gold or 18- karat gold.
The ``Seikomatic'' consists of a silver dial, gold-colored dolphin hands, upright bar indexes, and a simple design typical of Seiko.
The symmetrical round case and elegantly shining gold give it a sophisticated beauty, giving it an appearance worthy of the name of a luxury machine.
The movement is equipped with a 30- jewel automatic winding Cal.630 .
Seiko's unique self-winding mechanism ``Magic Lever'' uses ultra-small ruby ball bearings, allowing the mainspring to be wound securely with just a slight movement of the arm.
In addition, accuracy and durability are both improved, making it a highly practical movement.
Size: Height: 42.8mm , Width: 35.4mm , Thickness: 10.1mm , Weight: 36g .
It's thin and lightweight, so it won't get caught on your sleeves, so you won't get tired even if you wear it all day.
The elegant gold color makes it easy to match with suits, jackets, shirt styles, etc.
The case is in good condition with no noticeable scratches and the edges are still intact.
There is a faint stain on the dial near the 13 o'clock position, but there is no problem with visibility.
The movement has no rust and is in as good condition as new.
Comes with a Seikomatic-specific outer box, storage case, and specifications.
I don't think there will be any chance of finding one in this condition with all the accessories, so this is a very rare piece .
