Introducing the Seiko "Champion Calendar 860 " made in 1963 .
Seiko was founded in 1877 when its founder, Kintaro Hattori, established the Hattori Watch Repair Shop. Initially, he sold and repaired used watches and worked as a repairman at other watch shops, striving to improve his skills. Four years later, in 1881 , he founded the Hattori Watch Shop.
Initially, the company sold and repaired imported watches, but in 1892 , in order to utilize the technology it had cultivated up until then, it established a watch manufacturing division called "Seikosha."
Seiko began by manufacturing wall clocks and went on to successfully develop the first domestically produced pocket watches and wristwatches, building the foundations of Japan's watch industry.
It is one of Japan's leading watch manufacturers that continues to attract attention from all over the world.
The "Champion Calendar 860 " is an improved version of the three- hand model "Champion" released in 1960 , which was equipped with a calendar function.
This model comes in several different designs, and the one we are introducing today is a rare model with a highly stylish grey color.
At first glance it appears to be a simple design, but each part of the dial has a different finish, such as sunburst or lines, and each part shines differently when exposed to light, so the diverse expressions that change depending on the viewing angle are very appealing.
In addition, the center cross line tightens the entire dial, giving it a sharp and well-defined look.
This watch has a gorgeous appearance that is rare for a Seiko watch from the 1960s and will delight its owner.
The movement is a 17- jewel, hand-wound Cal.860 .
As it is an improved movement, it has stable operation, durability, and is easy to maintain.
The calendar function does not have a fast forward function, and the date is changed by turning the hands.
Size: height: 41.9mm , width: 38.1mm , thickness: 9.7mm , weight: 37g .
It is easy to wear and is thin and lightweight, so you won't get tired even if you wear it for a long time.
The simple design means that it can be worn without any problems in business situations such as with a suit.
Of course, it also goes well with casual clothing such as denim, shirts, and sweatshirts, so it can be used both on and off the job.
The condition is that there are scratches on the back of the case, but this does not affect use.
The dial is in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches or stains.
The movement is running smoothly and the calendar function works without any problems.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)
A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.
