SEIKO 66's Sports matic 5 Cal.6619A
Introducing the Seiko "Sportsmatic 5 " made in 1966 .
The Sportsmatic 5 was announced in 1963 .
・Automatic winding ・Waterproof ・Day of the week , date function ・Crown at 4 o'clock position ・Durable case
This is an automatic watch for men that has attracted attention for its five features and design.
At the time, thanks to the period of high economic growth, people's lives and watches were becoming more closely connected, and the Sportsmatic 5 became an explosive hit, especially among young people.
Furthermore, in 1964 , it became the first watch to win the Good Design Award, making it one of Seiko's most representative models.
The ``Sportmatic 5 '' that we are introducing this time has the crown at the 4 o'clock position housed inside the case, which emphasizes the case line and creates a clean silhouette.
The back cover is engraved with the dolphin mark, which is proof that the watch is waterproof.
The dial has a silver metallic sunray finish, and the cross line that connects 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock and 6 o'clock to 12 o'clock in a straight line is impressive.
Each bar-type upright index is individually cut, and by adding shading to the light it receives, it increases the visibility of the dial and creates a three-dimensional effect.
Sportmatic 5 , which is unified in silver, is a watch that gives off a powerful feeling that embodies "simplicity and sturdiness" without any unnecessary decoration.
The movement is equipped with a 21- jewel automatic winding " Cal.6619A ".
It is equipped with date and day of the week functions, and you can quickly advance the date by pushing in the crown.
Not only is it highly accurate, it is easy to maintain, and it is also difficult to break down, making it an excellent movement for everyday use.
Size: Length: 43.2mm , Width: 36.4mm , Thickness: 12.6mm , Weight: 90g
The simple design is unified with silver, so you can wear it without any problems even in business situations such as suits.
Of course, it goes well with casual clothes such as denim, shirts, and sweatshirts, so it can be used for both formal and casual occasions.
In terms of condition, the case has some minor scratches due to use, but the edges remain solid.
There is a stain on the dial near the index at 9 o'clock, but there is no problem with visibility.
The movement is in good working order and the calendar function is working without any problems.
The metal bracelet is made by an outside company.
