Introducing the Seiko "King Seiko" made in 1967 .
King Seiko (hereinafter referred to as KS ) was founded in 1961 by Daini Seikosha (Kameido) based on the philosophy of "making Japanese-made watches with precision that rivals Swiss-made watches."
While the GS (Grand Seiko), announced by Suwa Seikosha the previous year, aimed to be the " best wristwatch, " the KS is a model that focuses on high precision while streamlining other aspects to achieve a good balance with price.
For this reason, it is sometimes seen as a cheaper version, but the movement is smaller than the GS , yet achieves the same level of accuracy.
Along with the GS , it remains one of Japan's leading luxury models.
■Dial and case design
The Seiko " 44 King Seiko" we are introducing this time is classified as a later model.
There are no major changes to the appearance compared to the previous model, but there are some changes to the design of the back cover medallion and the movement specifications.
The 44 King Seiko is also known as the first model in the King Seiko lineage to feature a hacking function that stops the second hand when the crown is pulled.
The dial is a silver dial with a sunray finish.
The design is focused on visibility, with upright bar indexes.
The hands are broad dolphin hands, which are also common to Grand Seiko models, giving the watch a powerful impression characteristic of the 44KS .
The case is a simple round case.
It features short, thick lugs, giving it a bold design that stands out among all previous KS models.
It exudes a moderate sportiness amidst its refined appearance.
Without relying on flashy decorations, it still has an appearance that makes it instantly recognizable as a King Seiko.
This is a masterpiece that embodies the Japanese aesthetic sense.
■ Movement

The movement is a 25 -jewel hand-wound Cal. 4402A .
The early model has a sickle-shaped lever on the top of the mechanism for the hacking function that stops the second hand, but this watch is a later model and does not have a lever.
It is highly refined and boasts stable operation and high precision.
This movement is highly practical as it is equipped with a date function and the date can be adjusted by turning the crown.
■Styling
Case size: height: 41.6mm , width: 37.8mm , thickness: 10.8mm , weight: 47g .
It fits comfortably on the wrist and is not too thick or heavy.
It won't get caught on the cuffs of your jacket, and you won't get tired even if you wear it for a long time.
The design is simple, so you can change the look just by changing the belt.
A leather belt will go perfectly with a suit or jacket, while a nylon band will instantly make it more casual and easier to pair with shirts and T- shirts.
■ Condition
The case is in good condition with no noticeable scratches.
Since it has not yet been overhauled, there is some dirt, but it can be removed by washing.
The dial is in good condition with no noticeable damage.
The movement is running smoothly and the hack function is working.

Please be sure to read the following information after purchasing an antique watch.
When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we have a professional overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) the watch, and then we deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1-2 months.)
Our specialized craftsmen, who are first-class watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine to you, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which will show you what kind of overhaul work was done on the machine, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and serviced.
Of course, since the product itself is a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we have taken this approach so that you can enjoy the watch's inherent performance and use it with peace of mind in the future.
When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product, but there will be a fee. Even if there is no repair shop nearby, please feel free to contact us.
