Introducing the Seiko Lord Marvel 36000 , made in 1967 .

The Lord Marvel was the first domestically produced wristwatch sold as a "luxury watch," and the first model to have an individual number engraved on the movement.

In the 1960s , when wristwatches themselves were still luxury items, it was sold for more than twice the price of domestically produced watches at the time, and was positioned as the highest-end domestic model until the arrival of Grand Seiko.

Since its release, the Road Marvel has undergone several model changes and has been a long-selling, popular model that has continued in production for approximately 20 years since production began.

The Seiko Lord Marvel 36000 we are introducing this time is the first domestically produced high-beat model and is the final model in the Lord Marvel series.

At the 6 o'clock position, the number 36,000 is printed under the pet name, indicating that the movement is a high-beat model with a frequency of 36,000 beats per hour ( 10 vibrations).

The dial is a silver dial with a sunray finish.
The hands and indexes are cut dolphin hands and bar indexes with black onyx, creating a simple dial configuration with excellent visibility that is typical of Seiko.

The stainless steel case has a mirror finish with cuts on the bezel and lugs.
The long design of the rug makes the vertical lines look beautiful, resulting in a clean design.
The back cover is engraved with a seahorse mark, which is proof that the case is waterproof.

Beautiful and full of elegant charm, the Lord Marvel is a watch that exudes the presence of a luxury Japanese watch.

The movement is a 23 jewel automatic, Cal. 5740C .

This luxury hand-wound movement has an increased balance frequency of 36,000 vibrations ( 10 vibrations per second ), and was an award-winning watch that took 4th to 10th place in the General Chronometer category at the 1968 Geneva Competition.

This movement was the forerunner of the subsequent 45 King Seiko and 45 Grand Seiko.

Size: height: 41.7mm , width: 37.5mm , thickness: 9.9mm , weight: 45g .

The simple and practical design makes it suitable for a wide range of occasions, from business to casual.

It goes well with a variety of straps, so you can enjoy the changing look of the watch depending on the season, such as a nylon strap in spring and summer and a leather strap in autumn and winter.

Condition: The case has some small scratches, but no noticeable scratches or chips.
The dial is in good condition with no blemishes or stains.
The movement is also running smoothly.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
