Mechanical watches were at their peak, and Seiko was selling a wide range of models from a variety of perspectives, including design, functionality, and specialized features.

 The Seiko 5 is one of the most representative models of Seiko watches from the 1960s , and is a classic watch that has been repeatedly updated since production began in the 1960s and is still in production today.

This watch was a huge hit, especially among young people at the time, as it was equipped with full-fledged functions such as automatic winding, day-date, and a waterproof case, and was available in a wide range of designs and offered excellent cost performance.

There are many different types of Seiko 5 watches, including derivative models.
The "Seiko 5 Deluxe" we are introducing this time features a large number of jewels, 25 , in its movement and is equipped with a second hand regulation (hack function).
This is a rare model as it was produced in very few numbers compared to all the 5 Series models.

The dial is a silver dial with a sunray finish that reflects light beautifully.
The hands and indexes are angle-cut dolphin hands and upright bar indexes.
The dolphin needle has an impressive shape that is not too sharp, with a rounded bottom.

All of the bar indexes are cut to create a glow that accentuates the transparency of the dial.
The dial is simple and beautiful, typical of Seiko, with no unnecessary decoration whatsoever.

The distinctive shape of the stainless steel case is eye-catching with its emphasis on surface shape.
By emphasizing "surfaces" rather than "curves," the design exudes a sense of solid strength, which is the polar opposite of the gentle atmosphere of the dial.

The Seiko 5 Deluxe is an attractive watch with a unique presence that truly combines "softness and hardness."

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
